"The Bridge Ain't Over"- Brooklyn Bridge 120 Year Celebration

"One of the most famous of bridges, that's been sold to so many fools." -the Minority Report
Has it been 12o years already? Damn, time flies SO quickly when you're a bridge huh? And it doesn't look a day over 5o! Anyways, "BB" has a B'day coming up, so the biggest borough is throwing a bash for one of the (former) Wonders of the World, the Brooklyn Bridge. Weather you reside in the best boro in NYC or not, make no excuse not to come out to join in on the festivities. All Starting May 24th folks!
The celebration will begin with the Big Crossing, a trip across the bridge for bicyclists (8 a.m.), runners (9 a.m.) and walkers (10 a.m.). Free tours of Brooklyn landmarks, including the Old Stone House, Wyckoff Houses, and Marcy Projects (just kidding) will be leaving from Cadman Plaza West throughout the day. There will be live music and dance performances, poetry readings and puppetry shows at Empire Fulton Ferry State Park, where participants will be invited to taste the official Brooklyn Bridge Birthday cake.
