"Why You All In My Grill?" -Brooklyn's Largest Picnic Has A Date! Heatwave 9.0 Is Comin'

Okay for two months now folks have been "Googlin' " hard in search of the damn date this huge annually held picnic is being held that my good friends over at MIH Ventures does! You would think folks NEVER ate barbecued food before in their life! Well get the napkins ready cause guess what? I know exactly when it's going down. Yes, "Heatwave 9.0" (the 9th one as you can see based on the title) will be (drum roll please...) Sunday, July 19th this year. From what I know, it'll be held in the SAME location it's held EVERY year, which is the first big lawn in Prospect Park (Flatbush/BK library enterance). If you've never heard about this event or attended, prepare to be wowed by the sheer amount of people that you'll see. Tons of folks even come from across state line to attend. Bring a blanket and cheerful vibes, food is on them. Spread love is the Brooklyn way! 12PM-sunset.

great job! your event left a mountain of trash in the park! i truly hope this event, obviously full of people without the decency (or sobreity) to clean up after themselves is banned from further events in the park.

"Your event?" When did posting about an event make ME responsible Carlos? Do you write to the New York Post after a police brutality incident and blame the Post?

Do you know how to reach MIH Ventures? Obviously they know they are sketchy, cause even their web domain registration is made private so you can't find out how to contact them.

I know that you as the blogger, aren't responsible for this event. But if your readers went to this event, and were part of the problem then perhaps you should address that issue with them. Or not list this event in the future.

The people who organized this event are absolute pigs and completely disrespectful of their fellow citizens. How dare they leave hundreds of pounds of trash, liquor bottles and drug baggies sitting around the park, attracting rats? What is their problem? It's like they've got the sense of awareness of three-year-old children.

I don't get. I truly understand the outrage some may have over this trash fiasco, but how are the organizers of this event pigs? It's the few bad apple attendees that are to blame. I was brought to my attention that the SAME incident with garbage happened on the fourth of July, is America the blame for holding the holiday? Over 2,000 + folks attend this event for the last NINE Yrs. if the park is aware of this proper trash bins should be in place to accomodate the extra ppl. It's NOT like the park does not know this event happens EVERY year. Though the organizer do their personal best to clean up, they can't be held accountable for everybody that happens to be in the park and hear to the bbq. Even non violent protest have a few amongst them that rather riot. Thanks for your comment however.

"Event"? What "event"? Are you talking about the drugs and alcohol mess that took over Prospect Park? Oh, I see, now it is politically correct to call "event" a gathering of profiteering "entrepreneurs" who peddle booze and bags of drugs to make a couple of bucks. Shame on the MIH trash!
