Due to the overwhelming negative feedback received in regards to the mounds of trash left over in the park from this year's 9th Annual Heatwave (9.0) BBQ presented by MIH Ventures. It was only right as leaders in their social community to release a statement to clear the air (no pun intended) about the fall out they've been getting from all the bad press about it. Read on...

Statement from MIH Ventures
Re: Sunday, July 19, 2009 Event in Prospect Park
On Sunday, July 19, 2009, MIH Ventures hosted an event in Prospect Park. Attendance at the event was much greater than anticipated, overwhelming our clean-up efforts. Our efforts to restore the park to its original condition extended late into the evening, but after exhausting our supplies, we decided to continue the clean-up the next day. When we returned with the necessary supplies and man power, the park had been cleaned. We deeply regret, however, that volunteers and park staff ultimately shouldered the responsibility of cleaning up after our event.
MIH Ventures, on behalf of ourselves and our patrons, sincerely apologizes to the community for the condition of the park on Monday morning. We are currently working with Prospect Park to ensure that the park remains a clean and enjoyable place for all, as we too are members of the Brooklyn community who use and appreciate Prospect Park. To show our support for Prospect Park and our respect for the community, MIH Ventures, in conjunction with Prospect Park, is organizing a volunteer clean-up effort to take place early this fall.
MIH Ventures is excited to work with Prospect Park moving forward, as we continue to serve the community.
How dope of them to be proactive and confront the issue like the men they are and resolve the issue before it had worsened. Here's also a videos they were required to send out to their attending clientele which I also added too.

A little late, but that letter was full of lame, and so are you if you swallowed it. They really returned only to find that the garbage was already cleaned up? I bet not.
So did the clean up ever happen?
