"Hump (Day) 'N Around Like Bobby Brown" -Friday Comes on a Wednesday Now.
I truly hope you have on your comfort
able heels on today. Or at least some good ol' "tennis shoes" (down south talk for sneakers) Cause there's not one but THREE events that I insist that you try your best to make it to tonight. First off, you need to hit up a Virgin, as in the megastore, in Union Square. K-Salaam & Beatnick will be shaking hands and kissing babies, all to promote the latest release hitting the shelves. Then later on a homegirl of mine, Roela of the Taste Crew will be hosting a joint at 205 Club w/ singer Joi (you know her from replacing Dawn in Lucy Pearl and Big Gipp's wife) performing live. Or you can walk right down the block to Kush, where Jahrem and Co. have a huge B'day bash going on w/ tons of fashionable folks planning to attend. See I'm TOO lazy to write out the addresses to each so you're just gonna have to click onto the fliers to get'em...so what...I'm sorry man, what else can I tell you?

"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.70)
Yeah yeah, it LOOKS like this event was loads of fun but, ummm er...that's far from the truth. Let me start from the top. Last week some time (I forgot what day it was) Blackberry had a soiree over at the lovely venue Providence which I attended. First off there was NO open bar...not even for a HALF an hour at least! Then no one seem to know what exactly the event was being held for. Then the opening DJ sucked that was strike two. Lastly, can I get a FREE Blackberry? Weather it's by lottery or spinning a bottle,WHATEVER! Just offer the chance! The legendary DJ Jazzy "Fresh Prince" Jeff was the ONLY reason I attended and the ONLY redeeming factor. That and the dime spokeswomen/models they had working (What up Tiff!) Blackberry my ass, this was "Wackberry!"

"Say It Loud, I'm Black & I'm Proud!" -CNN "the New Authority On Blackness"
Ummm, has ANYONE been following this? From the looks of things someone over at CNN ( which now stands for this "Country's New Negro") has hired the laid off production staff from BET, to create this propaganda filled documentary about the state of Black affairs in Amerikkka. If what they're claiming is true, then kill me now! Cause it's sounds hopeless as motherf^@ker (lol). Seems like perfect timing to air this, on an election year where the leading Democratic candidate happens to be...You guessed it...Black! If you haven't heard by now, his name is Senator Barack Obama, and he's wants to become your next President, by beating "around the Bush." Peeps these clip out, but PLEASE (warning) have an empty bucket nearby on hand as you watch.
P.S. Stay tuned to BET for the response/diss documentary "White In America."

"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.69)
After enduring that loooongg ass line (yeah right) to get into see the Dark Knight (which was GREAT btw) I high tailed it over to the SlyArt & Robot City jawn that was not too far from the theater, further down B'way. NO ELEVATOR!? 5 flights? S###iit! I am not a stair master, nor do I hike for sport but that was the only way up. I'm thinking "This BETTER be good!"
Huff...huff...huff...and that was on the first flight! Folks coming downwards warned that the heat inside the space was effects of global warming all in one room, but we pressed on. Once in side, it looked like a 70's party due to all the sweated out perms turned Afros (LOL). It was ALOT of familiar faces amongst the crowd just some looked as if they had melted. It was good to see Art was making a comeback on the party scene like some years ago...but w/out the coke (well less). Here last Friday's adventurous flicks.
