I'm sitting scratching my head trying my best to remember the last time I caught a Jesse Boykins III show in NYC. Whatever the date, I KNOW it's been a minute! So when I heard that he was to perform at Millsime (located inside the Carlton Hotel) I made it my business to attend! Besides it was nice outside that day AND I needed something (ANYTHING!) that made me feel like I didn't waste my weekend in the crib the whole time. I'll admit I didn't stick around for the entire show but here's some images I was luck enough to capture while I was there...ENJOY!

Feeling kinda bored on a Saturday, I faintly remembered reading on Facebook that Jeese (Boykins III) was having a small acoustic (FREE!) show at Tillman's in the city. So BONG! That became the plan for the night. Hit up a few folks to see if they were "dee" , and was ready to bounce out before the rain started coming down. Hadn't been to Tillman's in a minute (nothings changed) but thought it was the PERFECT setting for this type of show. I just bought myself a new camera (the Canon sx200 punk!) recently for my birthday that just past (happy belated to me), and was DYING to test it out in the type of scenario, being that I attend ALOT of shows. The show went really well but tell me...how are the shots? Feel like you're there right? But you wasn't! Lol

"I Know You Seen Me On The Video..True!" -Jeese Boykins III "Come To My Room" Preview

No lie I get a call from both Jeese Boykins III AND this manager looking to shoot his next video "Come In My Room" at Frank White last weekend! Problem is, Frank White is CLOSED! So resourceful ol' me makes some phone calls and mins later BOOM(!) I get a call back from that corner eatery Speakeasy (on Waverly & Greene) saying we can rock. DOPE! Set up was at 10am, which may as well been 4am cause I was hanging out the night before. But none the less I was there...on time. Here's some behind the scenes flicks and video clips I took on set. Which was fun by the way. This Saturday at the SAME spot (Speakeasy) we're doing an after party for DanceAfrica at BAM /Facebook mixer called "Off the (Face) Books" from 10pm-3am that I would LOVE for you to attend, it's FREE btw. Oh, I almost forgot. The last vid clip is this new BK greeting that's catching fire in the streets right now, so don't be surprised if you see it somewhere else.

Talk about being a hustler huh? In this recession you can't just sit around waiting on ASCAP checks, and show money to come in right. "Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.104)

Lions, tigers, bears...and what ever else you wanna throw in there, was what was going on at Raye's b'day bash ("the Masquerade") last Friday! Even if I took two or three cameras, shooting at the same time, there NO way I would've captured the madness. Best set of the night (I missed Theophilus London's show) after Ray's performance, hands down was Jeese Boykins III's 'Tabloids" jam...Straight bananas! NO scratch that...Plantanos! This was one of the best events this Fall so far...and speaking of so far, "Sew Far Soul Good!" will be returning to the SAME venue (the Pink Room) on Saturday the 8th of Nov. so GET YO ASS READY!!!!
