"America Gets A New State"-Tracy Ullman's New Sketch Com

I guess Black IS really the NEW Black huh? Looks like everyone is doing "black face" this year. First Robert Downey now Tracy Ullman in her new show to air on Shotime titled "State of the Union." Ummm, is it cool now after years of racial tension it caused in the past? I seriously doubt that one, especially being that when it's done it never a positive character portrayal. It's more like an excuse to play a sterotype by "gettting into character." I'd be all for it if it was a dramatic role and the actor like REALLY pulled it off to where color wasn't an issue an nailed it. Like Charlize Theron did in "Monster"...Unrecognizable. I'd be cool with that. I know a jokes a joke but...Who is it on?

Uh, do you even know what "black face" is? Black people are party of the human community, just like the rest of us. Just as other people get parodied, why not them? Do you need to be baby proofed your entire life? You can't fall back on crap that was done a hundred years ago. Most of those people are long gone, and you can't play the race card, every five minutes. If black people want to do Asians, gays, or any other culture, they are free to do so, and have. Time to move on! Everyone has assimilated into society. Stop making it as if black people are a bunch of babies, who can't understand satire. Tracey has done every race, religion, gender, etc. Everyone comes in different colors, shapes, and sizes. When you do characters, black people are also going to be in there. Aren't they part of the population?

If you were reading correctly I agree with you, I just stated that I had hoped for a balance one day where it's done for a dramatic effect besides comedic that's all.
