"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.72)

Yeah, I know I'm a lil' behind on this one but I was SO caught up with planning "Rock the Block BK" (thanks for your support btw), that I damn near forgot to tell you guys about me attending "Rock the Bells" last Sunday. Okay, so I get a call early Sunday morn from my Stylistics (Agency) partner in crime Ashley, about how she's got a hook-up from Jon "What the" Deuce of Cliche' who has his hands on some tix for this years "Hip-Hop event of the year" out at Jones Beach! I had other plans to spend my Sunday, but as I said "HAD". I was not to miss this event, even though I was one, dumb tired. And two, I honestly don't DO hip-hop concerts like that, I'm more into live music w/ musicians, but with this year's line up planned, I would be foolish to miss it. So after a quick LIRR train ride plus a crowded bus shuttle trip, we were there licky split. My stomach started to rap to me but...$5 for water!?! $10 hotdogs!?! It's TOO expensive to be hungry...and the line wait is longer than the acts!?! Hell to the no! But I give in cause it was do or die...hungry. De La Soul brought out Dres of Black Sheep & Biz Markie, Mos Def featured Talib (of course) and Pharaoh Monch, Raekwon & Ghostface brought out...damn near all of Staten Island on stage. Red & Meth guest starred Slick Rick (for like 10 secs) and EPMD (had to, it's in Long Island). Nas cameoed Jay-Z, and Q-Tip debuted a Tribe reunion and Busta! Hip-hop was NOT dead that evening, it just was in a long ass coma.
Sidenote: Burger King's "16 Bars of Flame" sounds like a talent search for gay rappers. Lol. Also peep the "Zohan" in the pic before the "16 bars" one.
