Now I've been such a hard advocate for Brooklyn for so long, that I forgot what it's like to do an event a weekly at that in the city! But this Friday pass proved to me that a classy Friday night event for the mature minded social set was much needed. And Room Service (E. 21st St. bewtn Park & B'way) was where we (Patty Laurent, Nitro, and myself) decided the movement should start at. First off let me begin by saying the newly renovated Room Service is even sexier than it's previous look. So that was a plus for me. Then the crowd that came out to support our 1st night was ON POINT! Especially the women (of course)! Without even getting into detail, they just KNEW what the look we were going for was. Then to top things off, both DJ Goldfinger & DJ Trauma (along w/ the drummer) went IN on the music selections! Nothing "top 40 pop" was played till the second quarter of the night. So folks were jammed off of the endless list of classics the two spun back to back. And YES there were some door man issues I'm STILL hearing about till today. But that just sometimes comes with the growing pains of starting up ANYTHING new. So PLEASE bare with us. I sincerely apologize if you were one of the ones caught up in the "door politics" BS. We've since worked thangs out, so it can go more smoothly.
