After
"The Fashion 500",
the Block Association was on to the next last Friday, with a fashion & friends social mixer dinner party titled
"Dig In." The event had a start time of 10pm and upon arrival to the newly renovated eatery
Poppa's Place (formerly
Red Bamboo) upstairs lounge, I could tell it was gon' get
RIGHT up in there. Folks had the place half way packed and we still had 4 more hours to go! B'day girl
Abigail Best showed up fashionable late as well as
DJ Trauma &
Silky, but once they got there the party
JUMPED OFF! the
FREE appetizers being passed around (chicken fingers, coconut shrimp) helped quiet some stomachs that was drowning out the music.
LOL! After
Ahficionado's Frei got it crackin' &
Trauma tore it down, I am now convinced that these guys can turn a
WALK-IN CLOSET into a club! There was some mid-party drama between some chick chewing out any broad over treating her man like braille (which folks thought was part of the show)
Frei played
Keisha Cole's "Let It Go" and everyone laughed and went right back to partying. Other than that, you missed
ANOTHER fab gathering. But fear not...
