True story, some years ago there was a hair braiding spot housed inside of a brownstone two doors down from where I live called "(Something?) Kinks" (I can't think of the full name) anyway, they had a huge list of clients and Stevie Wonder was one of them. So once while in town, Stevie pulls up in a limo...on MY block, to get his hair did (lol)! The kids in the hood went WILD (to say the least) and even took my young nephew downstairs to shake his hand knowing I knew he had NO idea who Stevie was at the time! And that my friend was the ONLY time I could recall ever seeing or hearing about Mr. Wonder in Brooklyn. But now his music WILL return next sat, to a HUGE loft in the Clinton Hills section of BK, for Keistar prod.'s "WONDER-Full" annual event. Hopefully he'll make a "surprise" appearance in Brooklyn again like he did that time on my block!
