"AmErykah the Beautiful"- Badu & the Roots Live at the Radio City Music Hall

Okay I see what's really going on! This is basically the
"Heart of the City"
tour Jay-Z and Mary are doing together,
but it's for the Afro-centric, conscience crowd (lol). Crazy thing is,
it falls on the exact SAME weeks as their tour too! I know that week
my pockets gon' be TIGHT. Wait a sec., my pockets are EVERY week,
so forget I even said that. Seriously though, that's a fabulous (yes I used the word) combo show right there. As i mentioned in my very first posting on music predictions, this is a GREAT year for music lovers. Oh by the way, tickets for Badu & the Roots show went on sale TODAY so hopefully you're not reading this too late.

New AmErykah Tour
Erykah Badu feat. the Roots
Radio City Music Hall

"the CLASS REUNION" -A Return To Great Social Events In Brooklyn

Thurs. April 3rd 2008
Remember that date, cause it will be VERY important to the future of you social life.
Here's why. You ever feel like it's hard for you to catch up with old friends, school mates, ex or current roommates, ex-lovers, and former associates? Though you've made attempts, it just wouldn't happen? Well, we (my close partners and I) are working on a "cure" to help fix that very same problem we have too. Hopefully it'll solve yours. Here's the early details;
Every once a month (1st Thurs.) we'll be hosting an event designed for you to invite the folks you dearly miss in your life. Which will be a "reunion" of "class", a "Class Reunion" of sorts. Old friends vibing to old and new classics, while meeting NEW friends, creating NEW memories. Is you down?

"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi pics (Pt.18)

I truly wanna thank everyone who came out and supported last night's official launch for the Minority Report /Jahrem's B'day event ("theDARK"/ "Black on Black in Black"). Your attendance was highly appreciated and not over-looked. I saw some old familiar faces, and meet some cool new ones. It was one to the books! But unfortunately, I err...forgot my cord to upload pics off the camera. So you'll have to wait till tomorrow, my bad. However what I DO have are flicks from an event at APT last Tues. that went through all the Hip-Hop hits year by year...DOPE! And I have pics from Manor (Banana) on Friday for you to enjoy too.

"Just A Thought..."-Ridiculous Random Thoughts

I don't know, is it me does it seem like the NYC Subway is drawing a very thin line with the club scene? Cops are like security, checking bags before you go in. the token booth is the same, as some spots where you pay an admission fee. Once on the train, it's packed to capacity and everybody got their hands up. The DJ, is that young kid playing his iPod too damn loud. The random performers that come on, are the "live acts" clubs are known to have for time to time. And there's always that "drunk" walking around with a cup in his hand, looking for a hand out. And to top things off, I always leave with out a phone number...Damn!

***Reminder For Tonight's Shindig***

Yet another reminder about tonights big affair "theDARK" Which is

I'll try to answer any questions you may have. YES, it's FREE all night depending on your attire (which should be all-black) and you mentioning "the Minority Report" at the door. YES, you should get there early. One because it's an open bar starting @ 9pm, and to simply avoid the line, bottom line (no pun intended). YES, you will have fun. Besides the good music, live acts and art will be going on. NO, I will not follow you around after I buy you a drink (unless you're cool with it) and lastly NO, we will NOT announce on the mic, that you son's jealous father is here in his pj's looking for you. We'll just invite him out to the YUME's "Pajama Jam" on Sat. LMAO hope to see you later.

"Caught Up In the 'Net" - Sites To Be Seen

I'm pretty sure some one sent you a mass email, putting you on to the extremely funny blog "Stuffwhitepeoplelike" right? No? Then you have no real friends. Well anyway, of course you know someone out there had to "remix" it. When you get a min. go peep Stuffeducatedblackpeoplelike.wordpress.com
I honestly laughed out loud at some of the postings on there. I was a bit upset too, that I didn't come up with it first. It's received over 400,000 hits already and it only been up for two months... If that! On the total opposite end of the spectrum, the city is working on creating a new "MAAP" of NYC. Which will help "map" African-American history around the cities various locations, with the aid of video, audio, and the use of historic maps. Just in case you wanna trace your roots back to Jamaica...Queens that is.

"Here's Comes The Brand New Flava..."-Flava Flav Tears the Roof Off

Wow! Flava is getting more work than some actors out there right now! After 3 reality shows (Surreal Life, Strange Love, Flava of Love 1-3) some bright minds in Hollywood felt we need even MORE Flava on prime time , so to sitcom ("Under One Roof") kingdom come we go. Is this a ploy to get some TV show producer fired, like the story line from Spike's "Bamboozled"? I'm hoping it's one big April Fool's joke. It's to be broadcasted on MY9 Network TV, which is fitting, cause I'm bout to get "My 9(mm)" and shoot myself, if this lasts more than one season... or even half that. I'd tell you what the show's premise is but, I don't think you even care. And if you
do, then log off right NOW! Well who are we to judge huh? He does have kids (double plural and hoes) to feed. Right?

"You Can't See What I Can See"- True Confessions of a Governor

See I told you it wouldn't take long before the media "lynch mob" in hopes to sell fresh papers, start digging threw newly appointed Governor Paterson's recyclables. But Gov. DP is beating them to the punch by hanging up his own "dirty laundry" out to dry. This time he's admitting (again mind you) to doing "ungovernly" things in his past. This time it's Coke, and while we're on the subject, let me come forth and say I too have tried Coke in the past. I've also done Pepsi, and the purple stuff too, yes Welch's grape soda. But see when I tried it, they called it the "Pepsi Challenge" and I think I passed with flying colors. Hopefully Paterson will pass his "challenge" too.
