"Lost & Found" -The Minority Gets Major

Either Kwesi's a GREAT damn photographer, or that's one hellva camera he has! Or maybe that he's nice with photoshop (LOL) Cause these pics that he snapped of me are type DOPE! Trust me I'm far from vain, matter o'fact I tend to stray away from posting pictures of myself on the M report simply because it's REALLY not about me, for real. But the boy got talent! He's a force to be reckoned with when he's shooting . I'm just happy it's a camera in his hand and not a gun when he's aiming to shoot. BANG!

"Antiquer Frequer" -Back To The Future

Oh, wait...You thought it was all about clothes with me? Nah fam, it's MUCH deeper then that. I'm a firm believer that your dwelling should be just as (if not more) a reflection of who YOU are. At the end of the day, it's really all just STUFF. But boy is it a GREAT feeling when it's GOOD looking stuff right?!! Well Spring is here and I've finally made it a point to start sprucing up the ol' homestead, ya know a lil' paint here & there, new flat boob tube, throw some things out, etc. etc. you get the picture. Anyways here a few things I've been scoping out in my travels that caught my creative eye. And shhhh...they're amazing ALL from antique stores and flea markets. Yeah you heard right, I STAY getting "fleas." Lol

"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.136)

Let me first start off by apologizing for these pics you're about to see. I REALLY had wished I had taken more of Anton Marchand's annual birthday party this year (at Hiro Ballroom) But in all honesty, I was have way to much fun seeing folks from years past I had lost contact with, AND too much champagne was get spilled on my BRAND NEW camera man (oh HELL nah!). Bounced and ended the night off at Greenhouse, where I met some random Japanese cats that was poppin' Sake all night LOL! It was a (weird but) good look!

"Get Into The Party Life!" -Thrown Them Hands Up!

If you're looking to get into something that you'll be talking about for a while, then I may have just the thing. Tonight what comes around goes back around with the start of a NEW event called KARMA at the "we just getting warm" venue Sutra on first (St.) and first (Ave). Put together by dudes that KNOW how to party! Here the info:

Wed March 26th!
"Karma"

Then tomorrow night (March 19th) Ashley Mui of the Stylistics Agency (you guys remember her right? Lol) has got together with a group of equally creative folks and she's inviting you to join her at "RELAX" presented at ReBar, one of the coolest venues in Brooklyn (Dumbo). Knowing her it'll be all types of things going on that you just have to be there to describe. SO GO!

TOMORROW!
"Relax"
ReBar -147 Front Street
7pm-12am
Music by DJ Aroop Roy, Double U Tomek
Live art by Lichiban
FREE!

"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.135)

I'm both disappointed and surprised that I didn't see you at this event. Promotion was HEAVY for it going in, so I just knew the turn out would be thick. After playing "musical chairs" for damn near 45 mins. looking for a parking spot, Steph O' Ambika, Ivory, and I finally made it inside Sutra lounge to show our love & support for the B'day girls Mary P. and Ira. It was like a wine cellar (cold!) downstairs but up top the heat was on. Frei (Ahficionados) made a guest cameo mic appearance later to get the crowd even MORE charged than before. After dealing with the rude security, some dwarfish /ex-Soul Train dancer/ dance floor stalker, I was read' to go! Bounced right across the street to White Rabbit to join the "Ohio players" Tiara Chameleon and visiting friend Cristal, for drinks then wrapped it up for the night. Peep whatcha missed.

"I Wanna Rock Right Now!"-Dwayne (Lil') Wayne's In A Different World!

Now don't read me wrong, I love it when an artist can stretch beyond their commonly know limits and venture into something new but WHY go backwards? The problem I have is I think folks fail to realized Rap is the number ONE selling form of music on the charts right now! Why try to go Pop (Kanye?) or Rock (Lil' Wanye?) if you're out selling those guys ANYWAY? Let one of those Rock dudes try and make a Rap album, you'd be all over him in a heartbeat. To me Pop is any widely pop-ular selling song from ANY one of those genres, the way I see it. History has proven that and large percentage of modern music is derived from black culture (i.e. Rock, Rap, Jazz, R&B, Soul) yet we (as a people) STILL don't feel successful unless we "crossover" and adored in white folks eyes. Haven't we proven ourselves enough? My President is black for God's sake!

"25 Random (Hip-Hop) Things About Me" -the Remix!

Okay, I while ago I had this concept of writing a screen play which I can best describe as "a Hip Hop version of Forrest Gump" witness to some pivotal moments in where this one guy you follow through out the film has unconsciously influenced and bear witness to Rap's history! Dope idea right? DON'T bite it, I'll sue. Well it'll be loosely based on my life, so here's and abbreviated version of that idea in the form of Facebook's now infamous "Random Things" note. Pay attention.

TCL was first to go by the name "STD" but changed it simply because they felt the name would scare off male fans I guess. Hence the condoms Left Eye used to wear.

I held Lil' Kim's hand through plastic surgery, fell asleep and woke up to...Well you see the results. I'm not judging.

On a visit to Chuck D's house, when the money wasn't right just yet, he's electricity got cut off. It was ME who said "Fight the Power!" to him. Who knew he'd take it so far.

I secretly found out Memphis Bleek removes his do-rag much like Darth Vader inside a chamber (see Empire Strikes Back: Episode V for reference)

After numerous complications with her vagina, causing her to get violently sick, Foxy Brown as a young teen was nicknamed "the Ill Nana" originally by her close friends & family...and some ex-lovers too.

I made the BIG mistake of trying to reassure Ja Rule by saying "Nah, 50 ain't NO threat son!"

Took Young Buck out for ice cream after that now famous G-Unit breakup call.

By mistake, I washed some of Cam'Ron's red Dip Set stuff w/his whites at the laundry, so he really owns ME credit for putting him on to rocking pink!

One day bored at the studio, waiting for B.I.G. to show up, Puff and I went at it in a video game of boxing. While badly beating his ass , it was ME who first yelled out and taunted "Take that, take that!"

A while ago I lent a very cold Jay-Z one of my favorite blazer jackets, that I had forgot I had left Beyonce's number in. And so you pretty much know how the rest of the story goes.

I keep it a secret for the longest that R.Kelly REALLY has a bladder problem.

Convinced Teddy Reilly that "Guy" had a better ring to it than "Dude."

Yeah not quite 25, I have some more, but you have to (buy &) read it book before "the straight to DVD movie" comes out. LMAO!

"The Last Claw!" -Final Wolvie Trailer

I promise this is the VERY last Wolverive trailer posting that I'll be doing on the blog for the year! Why? Mainly because this is the LAST trailer that they're putting out before the movie's released. It's NOT the best one of the bunch, but it has more action than the former three combined! So take a moment to go pop your microwave popcorn, turn down the lights in your cubical and hit play.

"Let's Chop(per) It Up!"-We Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'!

I FINALLY DID IT! After 4 months of scowering around flea markets, and searching for "Neo" on the internet via Craigslist and Ebay. I finally found and purchased the bike I was looking for... sorta! Mind you this wasn't even on my "to do" list of purchases AT ALL. That's until I by chance came across one at this flea market I frequent on the weekends, and was HOOKED! The only reason I paused to buy it then was, it's MAD heavy AND it was snowing hard on the day I saw it. Plus I ALWAYS think I can find ANYTHING I'm looking for again...cheaper. Come to find out, they're both rare and expensive on the market, so I blew it when I spotted that one. But patience prevailed, cause I came damn near close. Yeah it isn't the color nor the style/model I had hoped for, but i'm still happy with it(...till I change it up to my liking more that is). Anyway here's the Minority Mobile (for now) till I get some new wheels!
