Months in the making the Block Association (aka "the Block Boys") have been planning to do a lil' R&R, team bonding vaca' for a extended weekend for a while now! We set the date for March 7th but the excitement had been building for years! And let me tell you it's not from a lack of trying, but simply getting all NINE members (now 12 including the High Flyers Club) on the SAME schedule! Especially when most of our members are jet setters already. But it happened! And as expected it was THE BEST TRIP EVER!!! I was the most fun I've had recently in my adult life...Hands down! We totally enjoy each others company in a small livingroom setting, but the change of environment was definitely a bonus! Praying that the storm didn't f**k up our plans, we all managed to escape from NYC in the nick of time. Even though half the team missed their flight at the airport (?!?) leaving out. But I'll save that story for another time. But until then peep the reckless lifestyle we got into while you we're freezing your asses off in NYC! LOL. S/O to "THOR"  aka "Chris Hemsworth" aka "Spartacus" and "Dave" our accountant, for making a cameo in the beach scenes. "And The Band Played On!" -The Block's 1st Music Video "It's A Toast"

During the summer (around July to be exact) the Block Association released an anniversary mixtape ("Crew Love") that featured the original single "It's A Toast" custom made for the team to be our anthem of sorts. Now fast forward 5 months later and we are FINALLY getting around to doing a video for it! However it WAS more than perfect timing to drop it to help promo not only the Block members, to familiarize yourself with our faces (you'll be seeing ALOT of us next year starting with THIS weekend LOL), but to help you understand how SERIOUS our (first ever in the city) NYE party "OCEAN'S 13" will be! So without further ado, here's some descriptive commentary by artist Chris Faust on the Block Boys lifestyle. FYI: the track was done by none other than producer J Kits (Google him!) who just completed several tracks on Trey Songz latest album. Yeah..we're that MAJOR!

"We Got The POWER!" NYC's Historic Brunch Is Just Days Away! RSVP NOW!

Since the Summer ended the Block Association has been scheming on a way to not only create a legendary event that would become a NEW tradition to attend in NYC, but also something that would cap the WHOLE year off that had a "WOW!" effect. And being that our niche has become daytime parties with over 600 in attendance, we collectively thought "How (if possible) could we make it even BIGGER?" And we figured out just HOW! Put the BEST people we've worked with and invited out to our events all in ONE  (sexy ass large) room! The owners of SLATE (the venue of choice we're hosting it at) came out to our brunch event at TOP CHEF Kitchen and were amazed at the look of the crowd and wanted to get in on the action. Which is the PERFECT venue (size, location, etc.) we needed to pull this one in a lifetime year ending event off! As you can tell from all the capitalized words & exclamation points I'm using that I'm tremendously excited about this one. WHY you ask? Simple...It's NEVER been done...period! Not only will it be the FIRST brunch party ever hosted at the venue, it will be the FIRST time the Block, Blacklight Ent, Showcase AND Empire Entity has ever done a party there! Let alone the FIRST time we've all worked together on ONE single event! All that is reason alone that this will be "the one" to f**k with as you get readyfor our FIRST NYE event in the city ("OCEAN'S 13") the very next night! There's NO COVER so there's NO worry about cutting into your New Year's Eve bottle budget. LOL.  Anyways, below are "finish line, last push promo, bonus edition" fliers to get the buzz buzzing!

"Doing The Monster Mash!" -Hey BOO! Monsters Ball RETURNS Next Saturday...CRAY!

 Okay you can put all your fears aside now, Monsters Ball will officially make a it's HUGE Manhattan debut at event space 404 NEXT SATURDAY! Traditionally held in, Brooklyn the Block Association's 4th Annual Halloween event is planting it's feet in new waters to accommodate our ever growing clientele that comes out from ALL the boroughs of NYC. BTW we even have folks from both D.C. AND Philly (thanks to Micheal Morrow/Philadelphia Status) coming to join in on the holiday fun! Yep THREE cities AT THE SAME DAMN TIME...one GREAT party! "Building Blocks" Operation #Assassinatethegame Has Officially Started!

So after having a HUGE turnout for our pre-4th of July 4th Anniversary party ("Crew Love" @ Ajna Bar), one would THINK we'd take it easy right? Oh HELLZ NAH! While the sun is still shining on us, we're gonna take full advantage of the GREAT weather the Mother Nature has been blessing us with. Plus with all the highly anticipated summer staples (Heatwave BBQ, Fort Greene Festival, etc.) gone, folks are in dire need more than ever to have something memorable to stamp the summer of 2012 on. Correct? So yeah, the Block Association has taking up the challenge to help make 2012 THEE summer to f**k with! So a "high council" mandatory meeting was call for ALL 9 member to attend, so that we could properly map out our plan of attack! AKA #Operation Assassinatethegame. And you now have an "you heard it here first" exclusive inside track to what's next down the pipeline from us. Okay so are you ready? Here it goes...

First up the Block Association are now the official brand ambassadors of the newest organic juice drink to hit the market...MADE drinks! We silently premiered it at AJNA with the bottle service clientele. Put expect to see it on reserved tables at ALL upcoming events! And a special BBQ/picnic is in the works to showcase the drink itself. BONG!

Secondly, I'm hoping you heard by now that we've taking over the mantle over at BUTTER (-415 Lafayette St.) on Fridays right? Yeah man, starting on THIS FRIDAY July 13th The Block Association along with WBLS's newest DJ DJ Jon Quick, Suave, and now added AJ Calloway (formerly of 106 & Park, now a host on EXTRA) will be hosting a sexy weekly Friday affair that NYC can look forward to attend! Think GREAT music (DJ Trauma, DJ Jon Quick, & monthly guest DJs), GOOD looking people, and celeb face from time to time. Again the GRAND OPENING IS TOMORROW! Next up for #3 is that we're gonna pull off one of the largest roof top parties anyone has ever attempted...EVER! NO lie! Sunday, July 29th is the date we've just secured with the NEWLY OPENED retractable roof top over at the Copacabana in Times Square! Not only is it HUGE, it's a sexy beast a well! Holds 600 ppl, awesome sound system, food & drinks on deck = a WAVY f**kin' time! LOL! If THIS s**t right here doesn't make us the kings of day party well...well I f**kin' give up the game! And a couple of other things like a daytime bowling party "Rock & Bowl", a MASSIVE bike ride w/ picnic called "Ride Or Try!" sponsored by MADE drinks,  a video shoot for the single off our "CREW LOVE" anniversary original soundtrack, the Block Boys anthem "It's A Toast!" -by Chris Faust. And YES you heard it here first...an actual Block Party titled "Rock the Block" w/ special guest DJs and live performances ALL DAY LONG!
