Then Halloween night, we're hosting our monthly #FlashMobDinnerParty "Prim & Proper" over at Beauty & Essex Do you have any idea how MAJOR this one will be?!? Added to the fact this 3rd one will be on a holiday night, good friend Isis Arias (of Hennessy Black) will be hosting her 21st b'day (yeah right) on this night with us as well. However the rules for attending this one will be not only is it RSVP ONLY admission, but you are required to wear both black tie/all black attire and a mask for entree to this exclusive event. "Top Of The World Baby!" -the Block Association's 2nd Anniversary / July 4th Roof Top BBQ Jump-Off Extravaganza!!!

I'm not here to rub stuff in yo face, but if you DIDN'T make it upstairs to our very first roof top party for or 2nd Anniversary then let me tell you man, YOU BLEW IT!!! It was EVERYTHING folks expected to be but little did folks know it was the party that almost wasn't! True story, gather round kids and listen closely. Ok a while back before July even came round L.A. (Lyshaan Hall), Ngozi (Odita), DJ Trauma, and I were all scouting for spaces in Brooklyn to host our 2nd Annual July 4th anniversary party but was coming up short. To the rescue comes Patty Laurent that put me on to a rooftop space in the city (Rare View) that I attended a while ago and struck up a deal w/ management to book that Monday the 4th. But was told "Urban" (IE "black") parties were kinda frowned upon here, but he was willing to give us a try. However phone call after phone call, meeting after meeting, dude was giving me the "hide and seek, duck duck goose" routine and the clock was ticking! So by divine chance I happen to come across a vague e-mail from an associate suggesting I contact her for a possible lucrative venture. And low and behold a client of hers (she does hair btw) owned a FREAKIN' ROOF TOP! SWEET! You do see where this is going right? Ok so BONG! We meet and agree to collabo on the night to ensure all our people have the most memorable holiday possible and within a few days left till the 4th "Touch the Sky" was ON AND POPPIN'! However due to the fact that we were sharing the space AND the building was occupied with tenants now, the invite was to be PRIVATE! But thanks to the good ol' Internet, Facebook, word of mouth buzz, etc. It got NUTSZILLA! So if I didn't see you, I'm glad you came...BEST ONE YET!!!!

"Ft. Greene With Envy!" -Pics From Pt. 2 Of The Ft. Greene Fest Kick -Off Party

I KNOW you heard, read, attended, or couldn't get in to one of the HOTTEST (YES, both in buzz and f**kin temperature!) parties in Brooklyn this year! If you've been living in a window less mansion like Bin Laden, the party I'm talking about is the follow up event to the first Ft. Greene Fest kick-off event featuring Rich Medina & Ali Shaheed. This second one came even HARDER w/ Q-tip & Pete Rock turning the tables. Givin' cats pure HEAT (And speaking of the heat it was like one huge yoga class in that b**ch mannn! Why I'm mentioning this is cause I gotta say this was THEE most difficult parties I've EVER shot. Cause the damn lens would fog up like a fall night in London, making everything look like a person on a ruthie! I wasn't gonna post anything from that event but I WAS able to pull some quality pics from the rubble, though few. Anyways here they are, and FYI the actual Ft. Greene Fest is JUNE 25TH in Ft. Greene Park 12 noon-10pm (whew!) With an HISTORIC after party! Trust...

For a while now Brooklyn's been longing for a small intimate sexy spot to chillax before the full weekend kicked in. And I can surely say that "the Class Reunion" at Luke's is rapidly growing to be THAT spot! This past Friday I got to fulfill out TWO goals of mine. One was make blow the doors of this party and make this a staple event for grown ass mature folks, the other was to as film and make a video for a favorite classic song of mine that has no video.
