Okay folks, now THAT'S how you end the motherf**kin' summer right!!! If you didn't know or hear about it, this pass Sunday was the GRAND FINALE ending to the Block Association's summer run of roof top day time parties. And WHAT an ending it was! DJ Mello & DJ Goldfinger should be called "the Replacement Killers" they filled in quite nicely for a "I'm in London bitches!" DJ Trauma & the "I was suppose to go to ATL" Danny Ocean. Keeping the dance floor moving from door opening to shut down! Let's give it up to those guys, EXCELLENT job fellas! And speaking of guys, take a long glance at the pics posted below. If she told you she was "out with the girls" on Sunday but never mentioned just WHERE, then mystery solved! She's all dressed up taking flicks with the Block Boys (or Showcase Ent...or maybe even Empire Entity) enjoying life with about 600 other folks! If you HEARD that "SKYFALL" was a blast, you GOD damn right it was! But we're NOT done with you just yet. Wait...there's more! THIS SUNDAY (Sept.30th) coming we'll be giving back on big time to THANK YOU (yes YOU) for playing a HUGE part in the success we've had this year (so far) and the year gone pass. The Block Association is hosting a customer appreciation bowling party at Chelsea Pier's 300 Lanes to toast our come up in the game. Again it will be mid day to late evening hr of 3pm-9pm this time. "Here Comes The Men In Black (Clap Clap)!" -The Block Unified Dress Code

Agents J & K wore it. Vincent & Jules rocked it.  Reservoir Dogs made it cool. The Crazy 88's killed it! And the agents from the Matrix made you FEAR it. So what will the Block Association do with it the timeless black suit, white shirt, black tie look? Make you RESPECT it! When deciding on a dress code/unified look that best represented us AND silently made a statement visually when worn as a collective, this iconic images came to mind in helping us make our decision. I'm bringing this up, and saying all this to say that THIS FRIDAY (Sept.14th) the WHOLE bloodclot Block Boys team will be dapper looking like the Blues Brothers (minus the hats and white faces of course) for "Virgo's Night Out" Vol.3! Our 3rd annual Block Association collective Virgo birthday event. Being held this year within our NEW 3 week old (every) Friday night party "NEW JACK CITY" (37 W.17th near 6th ave.) aka J'Adore. The look is both gangster and reserved at the same damn time. If you're a Virgo (or not) and you plan to attend and celebrate with us, OR you just wanna play your part in the movement, by all means "...Get ya black suits up!" as Jay-Z once said.  It's gonna look GREAT on film!

I have a gang load of stuff for you to occupy yourself with as we close in on wraping up September ALREADY (sheesh)!  Start with an event we'll (the Minority Report NYC & the Block Boys) be hosting TONIGHT after work starting at 5:30 w/ OPEN BAR by Stoli

TODAY at Brooklyn Bowl Yume BK will be hosting a press conference and press party for the RMX2, a digital DJ console that democratizes the way DJs are now created, while paying homage to the analog roots of DJing. So what do you have to do? Well do what you do best, Blog. But here you do it live. A special area will be created just for you and you can blog in utter comfort as you bowl, eat, and drink the night away. Where do you sign up? Well that's easy. Just respond to this e-mail with your confirmation and we'll save you a spot. Spots are going rather quickly, so the sooner you do it the better. All pertinent information is below.

OK the buzz is out and the streets is talking heavy about the biggest party of the year. "New Jack City" Fridays present "Virgos Night Out".  I cant even begin to explain how big this event will be. All I need you to do is get your outfit ready now and reserve your section ASAP cause the masses are coming out for Vol 3 of this classic event.  You need to be a part of the "couch surfing" that will be orchestrated at this spectacular event. Four members of the Block Association are celebrating big and their is no spending limit on the celebration. Expect a show , decorations , Dancers , Drums , and a serious light show of bottles going around the club. You know we had to bring in the Legendary  DJ Goldfinger to bless the event properly with great  A + musical direction. I am warning you to please arrive early cause when its one Block member celebrating its MAJOR , but to have four members is like the Superbowl. a Short Film to Screen at the URBANWORLD FILM FESTIVAL 

The short film, "The Bluest Note,” is heading to the Urbanworld Film Festival in New York City, NY. Nominated for Best Narrative Short Film, it will screen at the AMC 34th Street Theater 9, Shorts Program 2, on Friday September 21 at 2:45pm 
and Saturday September 22 at 2:45pm.
 
The Bluest Note" is an honest portrait of a famous singer in the twilight of his career trying to hold on to what he once had. When he loses his voice, Tony Mann (Len Xiang) is forced to choose between pursuing his passion at all costs or accepting his new reality.
The film features moving performances by Len Xiang, Stacey Lewis, and Jaynelle Clarke. Directed and produced by Marques Green, written by Oliver Webb, and produced by Laila Petrone, “The Bluest Note” debuted at the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival in August.
