Survivors of both the Regan/crack era and the rebel uprising in their native country of Haiti, these two were destined to become friends after Gary rescued Carlito during a night an over-dosed drinking binge in Cancun one unforgettable Memorial Weekend. Nicknamed "Ren & Stimpy" affectionately amongst there peers, these two have been inseparable ever since that random hot Mexican night. So it comes as NO surprise that they both share the SAME b'day month as well! What does this all mean for you? Well it basically means that TONIGHT it will be TWICE the "normal" debauchery as we celebrate their conjoined b'days. "The End Is Near!" -Plans Till The End Of The Year & Beyond!

Oh you thought Santa was busy around this time of year huh? That old man ain't got S**T on the Block Association this season! Real talk, we have a NICE lil' line up to set up to end of the year off right my friend. We got some GREAT news and ALMOST great news that we wanna share. Okay okay okay, first off TONIGHT the team was hired to launch a BRAND NEW venue in the W.Village called CAPPELLO with a Grand Opening that will lead into a weekly Friday affair if all goes according to plan (I.E. you show yo ass up tonight & support lol)! We're calling it "Feel Good Fridays" but has since shortened it to "GOOD FRIDAYS" moving forward. BONG! So that's that...Then next week (December 20, 2011 from 7-12am) we'll be guest hosting the 3rd Annual Holiday Dreams toy drive for the less fortunate ones @ Cornerstone Restaurant and Bar (271 Dekalb Ave, Brooklyn, NY). Next day after that we're right back inn CAPPELLO for our 1st Annual " BAD SANTA" Holiday Office Party! We're a business right? We have a office correct? So why can't we do an office party?!? Dec. 28th CAPPELLO again for another edition of "GOOD FRIDAYS" (hello...it's a weekly people!) Then (listen up clearly now) Sunday Dec. 30th we start a NEW year ending tradition with "the POWER Brunch!" Thee LARGEST daytime brunch event ever thrown in NYC! AND (get this) the 1st EVER brunch party thrown in SLATE (54 W.21st St)...PERIOD! Now we've done daytime events with both BlackLight Entertainment and Showcase Entertainment before, but never both AT THE SAME DAMN TIME! Say it with me...TRIFECTA! If you're NOT excited about what you just read then I'm not quite sure you understand the language that I'm speaking! Maybe you ain't hearing me right but I basically saying THREE of the most respected event groups...in NYC... on ONE daytime event! (Jumping around like I got the Holy Ghost!) WOO! That's rare ni**a! Rick Flair ni**a! WOO! The power's in my hair ni**a! Pop a molly I'm sweatin' WOO! LMFAO! So yeah you get it, that one will be MAJOR! Almost bigger than the NYE event we're STILL in the mist of planning. Just trying to fine tune this so it's to you guys liking. SORRY for the wait. I have a gang load of stuff for you to occupy yourself with as we close in on wraping up September ALREADY (sheesh)!  Start with an event we'll (the Minority Report NYC & the Block Boys) be hosting TONIGHT after work starting at 5:30 w/ OPEN BAR by Stoli

TODAY at Brooklyn Bowl Yume BK will be hosting a press conference and press party for the RMX2, a digital DJ console that democratizes the way DJs are now created, while paying homage to the analog roots of DJing. So what do you have to do? Well do what you do best, Blog. But here you do it live. A special area will be created just for you and you can blog in utter comfort as you bowl, eat, and drink the night away. Where do you sign up? Well that's easy. The short film, "The Bluest Note,” is heading to the Urbanworld Film Festival in New York City, NY. Nominated for Best Narrative Short Film, it will screen at the AMC 34th Street Theater 9, Shorts Program 2, on Friday September 21 at 2:45pm 
and Saturday September 22 at 2:45pm.
 
The Bluest Note" is an honest portrait of a famous singer in the twilight of his career trying to hold on to what he once had. When he loses his voice, Tony Mann (Len Xiang) is forced to choose between pursuing his passion at all costs or accepting his new reality.
The film features moving performances by Len Xiang, Stacey Lewis, and Jaynelle Clarke. Directed and produced by Marques Green, written by Oliver Webb, and produced by Laila Petrone, “The Bluest Note” debuted at the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival in August.
