Ok Ne-Yo sung "Even clapping is different when you leaving the Champagne Life..." So question, is there ANOTHER level when you're living a Grey Goose & Patron life? Well last Monday folks gathering together to celebrate the Block Association's good friend Carlito's B'day @La Pomme definitely tried to find out. Walking in with an entourage 20 deep, we took over and set up camp EARLY to start the "I gotta go to work the next morning" night off with a chorus line of bottles that would make the Rockettes jealous! And if you were there to witness the bevy of women that table was surrounded by, you wouldn't have needed ONE drink to make any of these ladies look good. LOL! And judging by the turnout, Carlito may seriously have to think about coming back to doing events again man. WORD! Well If you couldn't make it out to stop by to celebrate w/ him he forgets you cause it WAS a Monday night but he still wants you to regret what you missed! "Not Your Average Run Of The (Bush) Mills!" -At Last I'm Not On A Wanted Poster!

A few months back I was telling you guys how I was selected from a photo casting for groups of friends to be used for an international print ad campaign for long time whiskey makers Bushmills. Right? And how Ouigi (of the Brooklyn Circus) and I photo was picked to run, and that the company invited us out to Ireland for a four day visit and tour of the distillery...Correct? Well if you you answered "Yes!" to everything then you SHOULD know what this picture posted is all about then! Bushmills finally sent me a crisp copy so I can pass it on to you to get a good view of. For those in still in the dark, Bushmills is like the Patron of Irish whiskey out there. So for us, two non-threatening looking BLACK Americans to appear in this campaign is HUGE kid! So we're kind of a big deal overseas, where we can reap NONE of the benefits of fame that comes with your face being plastered all over. I can't wait till they start to appear state side. I think it'll be surreal to see some punk kids scribblings of a magic marker moustache across my face. LOL! Geez, it's awesome to see yourself posted up on a wall in the hood, and it AIN'T one of those R.I.P. murals man!

Let me ask you, you ever NEEDED a party in your life? THIS party hosted Uptown Magazine for their 5th Anniversary was one of those for me! Got the invite via Keith "Major" (of the Breakfast Club) and KNEW in an instance that this was gonna be something special. Now it's NOT like I don't get out (this very blog is proof of that), I just hadn't been to an event I was REALLY excited about like this one. Without asking details other than the basics like "Where & when?" I went in clueless to what to expect in total. Man let me tell you, this joint right here...Top shelf! DOPE venue (Maritime Hotel), DOPE music, DOPE looking well dressed (young sexy mixed) crowd, AND open Patron bar...ALL NIGHT...Sade "Sweetest Taboo" my ni**a! Fronted with some ladies like "Thirsty? Oh I'll get you a drink. You're friends too right?" till the jig was up, that it was gratis. D'oh! My team the "league of extraordinary gentlemen" (aka Rich Younglord, Lyshaan "L.A." Hall, and Chadon) showed face later to bear witness to my urgent texts of "Yo where you AT? Here is where you NEED to be!" Outside of "WORD!" on Tues. after work THIS is one of the BEST times I've had this year! Even the catered cake was yummy! Shout out to Ms. Ashlie from that "Harlem Heights" (NEVER watched it) show (sorry), whom I had the pleasure of meeting 4th quarter at the party. Great talk, and trust I WILL get you to Brooklyn somehow someway. Done, like my camera when the battery dies. Uno.
