Kinda SUCKS that Halloween falls on a freakin' Monday this year right?! Folks gotta rush home from work to get dressed in costume AND + you can't get as drunk as you freakin' wanna cause of work tomorrow man too! Sheesh Louis! But you know what? Life hands you lemons then we're gonna make lemon meringue pie out this b***h! the Block Association and the Brooklyn Circus returns for a third MONSTERS BALL (3 -the Revenge) at an ALL-NEW location for "the most fashionable Halloween party in Brooklyn" hands down! If you've been to the previous ones YOU ALREADY KNOW! BANANA bread w/ the NUTS! So after the show we have the after party, Monday night (Halloween night) is our 3rd installment of "Prim & Proper" aka #FlashMobDinnerParty for the more sophisticated social set looking for a more mature holiday party. We're going ALL BLACK w/ a mask for this one! Our very first masquerade dinner party ever! HOWEVER the RSVP list for this one is MARILYN MONROE! Beautiful but DEAD! Folks starts RSVPing the morning after the LAST one was done! So in the best interest to remain sexy, we HAD to closed the list dumb early. SORRY folks if you're just getting word of this. We're currently looking for a bigger spot to commodate EVERY beautiful person interested in getting dressed up and attending. But for now, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT THE LIST! Halloween is SO close you can SMELL the candy corn! And so the push is ON for us to get the buzz out there to the socially exclusive fashionable/stylish social set, to attend not ONE but TWO(!) Halloween events we're (the Block Association, the Brooklyn Circus w/ Journ3y Men) hosting this year! YEP, You heard right! The first one on the Sat which is our yearly holiday costume party called "Monsters Ball" (which is the LARGEST in Brooklyn).
Then our last Monday of the month dinner party series "Prim & Proper" aka #FlashMobDinnerParty (which happens to fall on Halloween night) will be an all out masquerade party, where a mask and all black attire is required for RSVP LIST ONLY (theBlockRSVP@gmail.com) entree. Anyways I normally do a video documenting the event the night of. However, being the creative soul(s) that I (we) am (are), A trailer video to prepare you for the GREAT times ahead NEEDED to be made! But before we unveil it I got permission from the team (the Block Boys) to "leak" some on set photos taken by Jason Smith Jr. (of Journ3y Men) & myself (while directing!). I'll "leak" a few a day till the full video is ready to drop. Hold tight!

I think it's pretty common knowledge by those that know me well that I tend to favor the vintage stuff when it comes to my wardrobe. But I'm not bias to update my look to the more modern stuff the reflects the current looks of today. However coming from being a retail buyer for the Brooklyn Circus at one time, and having being awoken to the true prices of items vs the marked up price, I REFUSE to buy things at full price anymore. ESPECIALLY being that they're no where close to the quality of the older vintage sh** I cop! But I digress, I WILL shop at a consignment shop still looking to beat that retail sticker to the (wallet) punch. So in search of that S**T that will get the people talking I've come around one of the better ones...at least for Men I know. And low and behold you can shop from them on-line TOO! "Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt. 236)

Starting on Wed. night I basically went out EVERY night over the holiday weekend! I set it off at the swankiest NEW bar in Brooklyn, the Emerson. then headed up w/Gary to the Empire Room to check DJ Trauma play for a hot sec. Thursday (Thanksgiving night), I hit up Southpaw for the BKC's "Le Cirque" event w/ Talib Kweli djaying and DJ Trauma (again). Then Black Friday was the bang out event at Room Service w/ Camille McDonald (of America's Next Top Model fame) held her HUGE b'day bashment, hosted by Deon Grant of the NY Giants! DJayed by Goldfinger & DJ Trauma (yet AGAIN)!!! I didn't take as many pics as I would have liked to, only cause it was SO craazy in there EARLY, but there are some below I posted to give you some what of any idea what went down. Usually after a BIG Thanksgiving meal people tend to hit the restroom to make space for dessert. then you have those that catch the "itis" and watch whatever game is on. Then you have THESE folks that wanna come out and dance up a storm to lose some of the pounds that they just put on. last Thurs. (Thanksgiving night) the huge local San Fran / Brooklyn Circus social event made it debut on the east coast at the CBGB's of Park Slope Southpaw. As pictured below you can ALWAYS expect a fashionable crowd to come out to attend a Circus affair. DJ Trauma (Soundproof Intl') murdered the early warm up set like it was the last live Thanksgiving turkey left. A then special guest Talib Kweli did a DJ set, and let's just say he raps WAY BETTER! WAYYYY better! (LOL) Here's the folks that you may have missed around your dinner table that night picture below!
