"Life Is A Runway, Be Dressed For It!" - April Is...Black Fashion Month Gala "Fashion 500" Returns Sat. April 23rd Easter Weekend

Last year around the same time, the Block Association quietly started a push to make the first steps towards starting a grassroots movement toward getting the month of April recognized as BLACK FASHION MONTH! Why? Oh it's simple. We collectively felt that people of color (not just African-Americans) have contributed SO much to the industry of fashion that it was due time that the powers that be, who make "others" look good, get their just due. Look at it this way; Can you name 10 top black fashion designers off the top of your head? Then how 'bout at least 5 black fashion photographers you know of? Okay try naming 3 well known high profile stylist of color? Hard huh? So do you get my point right? Our style/swag alone needs to get a month to be recognized. LOL! Anyways, Sat. April 23rd has been the elected date that we will unite the Tri-states most stylist folks for the Block Association's 2nd annual FASHION 500 gala to celebrate our "fabulousness" as a culture. Can we get much higher? Hell YES! Here's the details.
