"Flashing Lights" -Paprazzi Pics (Pt. 298)

Man it seems like forever since I last posted pics from the latest adventures the Block Boys get into. So this post I'll be playing catch up with you to bring you up to speed on what's been going down. Okay what we have below are picture from a couple of events that's transpired over the last few days ago. I even post pics from another site (a former NO NO for me) only to give you the full story. Now so people are blessed to get a few friend together for a birthday celebration. But THESE lucky (Block Association Virgo) bastards have a few! Posted below are a few flicks from our road trip out to Philly for the "M.A.D.E. In America" day party w/ Philadelphia Status Brand. I stayed out there so I had to "borrow" pics (from 7 Days 7 Nights) to show you the team's cameo appearance at "Mean Shoe Game" that happened at Pranna. Labor day Monday the Collective & the Block continued the festivities with a impromptu BBQ over DJ Trauma's crib w/guest appearances by (former America's Next Top Model's) Camille McDonald & Brand Nubian Sadat X (who blessed the mic)! The following Saturday was ANOTHER stoop party BBQ we hosted during the "Spread Love Fest" block party/concert Vodou Bar had. Then after ONE MORE BBQ on Sunday (hey we had food left over from Saturday...don't judge) we gathered the crew to celebrate the birthdays both Frei Speech & Keith MAJOR at the same damn time! THANKS goes out to MADE drinks for the "liquid" support and to Vodou Bar for involving the Block in their movement. And a S/O Happy B'day to Mark Esquire a fly fellow Virgo. If you missed ANY of those events I just mentioned then by all means join us for our HUGE 3rd annual Virgo toast to life..."VIRGO'S NIGHT OUT" this Friday @J'Adore ("New Jack City" -37 W.17th St near 6th Ave.).

SATURDAY - SEPT 8th - "SPREAD LOVE FEST"

The Block Association has been enlisted to help usher in a NEW outdoor yearly event produced by the very popular Vodou Bar lounge (located in Bed-Stuy) for an event ONLY BK can host...the "Spread Love Fest" hosted by Vodou & Friends! One part Live Concert Fest, one part kids activity day, slash block party, all parts FUN! From 12 noon till 8pm the WHOLE day will be filled with Live Acts performances by unknown to VERY WELL KNOWN acts (shhh, can't speak on WHO just yet, it's' a surprise!), Brooklyn's top spinning DJ's, and activites for the young ones to stay out of your hair! Located between on Halsey St. between the Avenues of Nostrand & Halsey, this will be talked about on EVERY block! Start the buzz like NOW! If Mother Nature acts right, this will be the PERFECT summer closer! Agreed?

"Wave Ya Hands, If You Feel Me!" -Top Ten Things You'll Likely Hear At An R&B Concert

Every year I attend my fair share of live music outings that one can take in. But after a few, you start to see (or hear in this case) a common pattern shared among each and every artist performing. So if you go to a TON of concerts like I do, OR you're an up & coming singer and need a on stage dialogue "how to" here's a list of on stage cliches'

1. "Sound man, can you turn the sound/my mic up a lil' bit in the monitors?"
2. "How many single ladies in the house tonight?"
3. "If you know the song sing along OR clap your hands!"
4. "I heard [name the city] had the livest crowd!"
5. In the middle or end of the show, name each band member
6. Mention you have a new album that's coming out or IS out.
7. Ask "How many of you got the latest album?" then joke "Now how many of you downloaded the bootleg?"
8. Point to random chick in the crowd and say "This song is for YOU!"
9. The crowd randomly shouts out songs that they wanna hear the artist perform.
10. Artist teases "This is my LAST song for the night." only to come back to do a THREE more songs!

Ladies have you EVER dated a Virgo man? Yes, we're focused on our goals. Yes, we're anal about details. and YES, our sexual prowess and bedroom stamina are both legendary and hard to find these days! Now question,  have you ever dated FOUR Virgos at the same damn time?
