"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.156)

Sunday I woke up (a miracle in itself after 12hrs. at "BK ALL DAY!") with all the intentions of catching the last day of sales at Ikea (in Red Hook). But after reconsidering the mayhem out there, I made a b-line straight over to peep out Afro-Punk down at BAM. I had almost forgotten about it with SO much going on over the weekend. Looking TOO dress for this, I slide home changed clothes, and rode back down there on "the Beast" (which is my tricked out re-painted Schwinn Stingray a bought awhile back this year). I didn't stay too long, just enough time to make a few new friends and give "pounds" out to the old ones, like I was an English man! Lol! Bounced on over to Weeksville, where the Ahficionados were playing for a Blk Jks /Blitz the Ambassador show (I'll have pics later) Sheesh! I was beat after all that. Made it back out there Monday to catch Janelle Monae's show (for the twelveth time), and took the flicks you're about to see. If I didn't see you I'll catch you at the Afro-Punk block party this Sunday then.

Well folks I got a bit of good news and then some bad. Good news is, one of my FAVORITE theme parties is returning to Brooklyn this Saturday at Studio B! However the bad news is, this will be the LAST one there! I'm bummed out about that but I won't let that stop me from having a great time. Mind you I DON'T skate, but the music and watching others have a good time is worth the price of admission to me.

Swedishfish Prod. is FINALLY back with their highly successful "Ransom" party at Tamboril! What's a Ransom party you ask? Well the premise is for you to "KIDNAP" your friends (or total strangers if that's your thing) and bring them to the greatest party in Brooklyn!
They're paying for "hostages". Simple as that.


Regulations are:
1. Everyone must pay $3 cover.
2. For every person that you bring, we'll give you $1 back
3. For every 3 persons you bring, we give you a free shot of Trump Vodka

5. All of your guest (hostages) must be present at the door when collecting ransom
6. If you were held as ransom, you cannot collect ransom
7. Your guest (hostages) cannot be used more than once

"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.155)

My friend let me tell you, this was one for the books! I have NEVER partied that Nia LONG ever in my life! 12 straight hrs.(hence the name "BK ALL DAY") from sunset to sundown we were going in HARD. The Good; DJs Sakir, Jasmine Solano, Trauma, the Ahficinados, Will, and Goldfinger taking turns on the tables. The splendid catered food by Butterfly Prod. plus the grill jerk chicken. The cool scenic backyard deck filled to the brim with Brooklyn's most beautiful from front to back. Also the dope fashion segment Butch Diva produced. Now the Bad; the cranky neighbor that keep hassling us about the music/noise on the nosiest holiday of the year (?)! The cops (whom were cool for once) constantly checking in on the crowd, and lastly the HEAT! It was Kevin Bacon in there once the deck was done, thanks to that damn neighbor. Our folks made the best of it, but it was a real yoga class up in that piece! I bearly had time to take flicks during the "day shift" my apologise, forgive me, but I DID however manage to snap some pics at the tail end for things. Thanks to all who attended and rsvp'd for wristbands, much love. And to my team, Ngozi (Harriet's Alter Ego), Alador & Smith, Lyshaan Hall (the Stylistics Agency), Frei (Ahficionados), Silky (Soundproof Intl.) and Keith (the Breakfast Club) for pulling off what seemed impossible. And stepping up controling the pure masses (that showed up all at one time)! It was a GREAT look none the less. BK ❤ is ❤ .
