"That's My Joint!" -Spike Lee Has Art

Due to a hectic weekend, I was lucky enough to catch the kick off event for the organically produced Spike Lee honor/tribute that Sallomazing & one Ashley Mui (and the help of others) put together (this past week, starting last Thurs) down at LIU's Brooklyn campus. The turn-out was a nice collective of close friends, family, creative minds, and Spike fans alike coming out in support of both the artist and the event. I snapped a few flicks of the Spike Lee inspired art and caught a quick few mins of the speakers panel being held. Kudos to the team! Based on the success of this I KNOW bigger things are in the works for you guys!

I tend to stay away from fashion shows because,they're almost ALWAYS late, very chaotic, and hardly inspiring, well at least for me. However alot of folks I know were involved in this one down at LIU, so I trusted it would be a good one. And exciting it was between the music and the college kids turned runway models, it was a good look over all. Game Rebellion, Coup D'etat BK, Mike of Yume, Amanda Diva, Lamar & Dauley, and the students all played a part in the shows success. Here's the pics kids.

Ohhh, you was playing hooky huh? Well you missed a great lesson in "Class" last Thurs. at Scopello, which falls on every 1st Thursday of the month. Where brand (Kiser) meets band (HEAvY) once a month at was a good vibe and great stress reliever. You best not be absent for the next "Reunion", we're working to have Janelle Monae (!) to host. Straight from her LIU performance, to come meet her fans. NEW location too, cause the last spots owner was a limp penile shaft (long story) so I'm working on a new spot.
