"It Just FEELS Different!" -New Direction, New Movement, New Year''s Eve!

Well, well, well. As they say "What good is the race if you don't cross the finish line" right? We've been "running" the Summer all this year with our line up of spectacular rooftop Sunday brunch parties! Did we not? And we had you "running" all over town introducing you to all new, never been exploited, venues around the city. Correct? We've done the Target 1st Saturday's at the Brooklyn Museum, b'day parties in a high end men's store on Madison Ave. & hotel suites. A fantastic looking monthly dinner party series (Prim & Proper). Co-hosted a Bed-Stuy block party/concert (Spread Love Fest)...I could go on and on, but point is WE'VE DONE ALOT! A we appreciate and THANK YOU for rocking with us every venture we do. But please believe folks, we've far from done yet! This New Year's Eve "OCEAN'S 13" will be our FINEST moment. A real "game changer" on how folks bring in the New Year. Ok, so here's the details so far. This year we will be moving our highly anticipated year end celebration over the bridge to TriBeca, but not just at ANY venue (location to be announced soon). This year will be more intimate and exclusive (half the crowd of last year's 700+ ppl). Not here's the REAL twist, the "OMG moment" you might say. Ok so after the bar has been closed, last call has been yelled out, the final toast has been toasted, ANOTHER party will start from 4am-7am! YEP a breakfast party! So all that looking for a diner to soak up all that liquor...DONE! All that scrambling to get a last minute number...DONE! All that trying to catch a cab, then a 30 min wait to be served...DONE! Even folks that didn't bring in the New Year's in with us (at other parties around town) are invited to come eat and break (corn) bread.  Exciting huh?! Soulful music, TOP CHEF prepared breakfast, new faces...sounds pretty HISTORIC if you ask me. Well that's it for now, please bear with us I'll have more details (I.E. pricing of NYE tix, RSVP link for after hours breakfast party, DJ's playing, etc) as the date gets closer. Until then PLEASE attend our FINAL "the Country Club" brunch party at BRAVO's Top Chef studio Sunday Dec. 2  2pm-8pm hosted by Gary Grant, Calcie Cooper (the Social Broker), and the Block Association collectively.

"Hail Hail The Gang's All Here!" -The FINAL Country Club Sunday Brunch Of The Year!

SHEESH! November just flew past us didn't it? Where the HELL did the month go? After Obama won (pause for a quick fist pump) everything else was a blur. Well as the Prez. would say..."Move FORWARD!" And so we shall, starting with the return (and FINAL one for this year) of "the Country Club" brunch series (previously held at DUO during the Spring). And we're ending it in GRAND fashion as only we could! Not only will the Block Association be re-teaming with co-founding "Country Club" member Gary Grant, but Calcie Cooper (the Social Broker) will be pitching in as well to bring his sexiest brunch eating crowd out too! But wait... there's MORE! We've moved for out posh digs midtown at DUO (on Madison ave.) further downtown to Tribeca. And not just ANY restaurant there, it will be hosted by the SAME restaurant currently hosting the Bravo TV show TOP CHEF KITCHEN! Yes a "WOW" is in order for this folks.  And we will continue to "WOW" you straight into the New Year! Oh and speaking of New Year's, New Year's Eve AND New Year's morning we'll be at this same location counting down to 2013 with our year end event "OCEAN'S 13" followed by an after hours party serving breakfast directly after starting at 4am (-7am) titled "the Breakfast Club!" Get it?  More details on that in the following post, but for now peep this...

"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt. 302)

Now that Halloween is actually HERE, & Sandy went door to door "trick or treating" she put ALOT of peoples plans to celebrate today out the window! So thankfully for us it was GREAT timing that we gave our followers an unforgettable pre-Halloween celebration that will be just as unforgettable as the storm! Unlike any other holiday event we've thrown in October past years, we switched things up MAJORLY by one moving this year's "MONSTERS BALL" to the city, and secondly by teaming up with BlackLight Ent. that (by sheer coincidence) also was celebrating their FOURTH Halloween party titled "MONSTERS BALL 4" as well! An to top things off that made the event even crazier was that we brought in Micheal Morrow (of Philadelphia Status) to host, who had a bus load (59+ ppl. and two cars worth) of party goes come up to NYC especially just to experience a Block Association event.  And WHAT and event it was! With over 400 tix sold before the doors even opened up we KNEW we had another winning night on our hands! But NO victory comes without struggle. Due to a freakin' bar mitzah that took place before our event, doors didn't open until 12pm! Which created a "zombie like" hunger to party on the ever growing (down the block long) line outside. So when it was time to let ppl in, it was a rush for the door like a supermarket during...well during a storm! We THANK YOU for your patience. DJ Trauma & Silky Valente' (doing mic duties) MORE than made up for the wait. As you'll notice in the picture below, AGAIN we draw out not only a HUGE crowd but in my personal opinion one of NYC's (& Philly) most BEAUTIFUL looking crowds as well! NO lie (Drake voice). If the costumes didn't impress you, the all black dressed attire sho nuff did! And on THAT note, please please please heed the warning when we VERBALLY and LITERALLY tell you to "purchase yo tix EARLY!" We have a beyond GREAT set up for you guys when New Year's Eve rolls around that will be legendary! Mark my words son! Details are coming sooner than you think. Anyways, I went H.A.M. on taking pics last Saturday, and I STILL didn't capture the sheer amount of folks that came out to support us...DAMN! Better luck NEXT YEAR I guess (LOL).
