"Mask And You Shall Receive!" -Prim & Proper (#FlashMobDinnerParty) Goes "Eyes Wide Shut" On Halloween Night!

As luck would have it, the LAST Monday of the month of October (31st) falls smack dab on the night of Halloween! And if you've been paying any type of attention to the social movement the Block Boys & the Journ3y Men have been pioneering with our #FlashMobDinnerParty "Prim & Proper" then you have an idea how MAJOR this one will be! Added to the fact this 3rd one will be on a holiday night, good friend Isis Arias (of Hennessy Black) will be hosting her 21st b'day (yeah right!) on this night with us as well. However the rules for attending this one will be not only is it RSVP ONLY admission, but you are required to wear both black tie/all black attire and a mask for entree to this exclusive event. Plus we're planning to have a surprise guest host in our "trick or treat" bag. You heard that the second one got packed at 9pm, so be DRESSED and arrive EARLY!

"Virgo Season Finale!" -Roof Top Birthday Celebration

Okay, let's try this AGAIN! So about two weeks ago Gary Grant and the Block Boys had planned this snazzy day time invite only roof top party to be held at Hotel Indigo. But then some party crasher, this (all caps) BITCH named Irene got "wind" of the event and shut the WHOLE city down so we sadly had to cancel the highly anticipated soiree' much to everyone's disappointment. (SIGH!) well I'm happy to announce folks that it's back ON! And ironically in time to end the "Virgo Season" something special. Rarely am I ever on Twitter much. But usually when I do get on it, it's to post links to my blog (yeah the one you're reading as we speak) that day, or to shout out my crew's (@theBlockAssoc) movements event wise. So here's the story, I was working on a video (which I have to still finish BTW) based on my "adventures" so far this summer, when ANOTHER idea came to me, and I got distracted and started on THIS video you're about to view now. Last Saturday I was making plans to attend that Pimps of Joytime/Navagante joint that went down at Brooklyn Bowl. HOWEVER the G train was acting like a BI**H so plan B was the next course of action. Which SHOULD'VE been plan A for the jump! Let's me rewind a bit. About a week ago my boy Jay (Jason Smith) hit me on Twitter about posting an invite to his annual StartIn' 5 BBQ event he has (who know? obviously not me) every year. And me knowing how hungry/thirsty folks get around summer time in search of that next poppin' BBQ, I warned him "You SURE you want me to do that kid!?!" Well long story short it was Planters cashew NUTS in there! And here's the footage to back it up! Start it UP! LOL

Now I'm not one to be on Twitter very much. Other than posting links to bring unknowingly folks back to this very blog, I'm not inspired by what I generally read being tossed back and forth and recycled/re-tweeted on there. However, I did read a time lined tweet I saw that @djdnice had posted some pics of B.O.B., Wale, Snoop, & 50 using Instagram and giving it HIGH praise on there. For those not in the loop, Instagram is a GREAT app tool on the iPhone/iPad for photographers both novice & skilled alike. Which brings me to this point. Just yesterday, based on how sunny it was, I decided to REALLY explore the app and the camera (which I NEVER hardly use...at all!) on my iPhone and do a "photo shoot" of some cool stuff that caught my eye around my gig at Columbia U. Oh...wait...you didn't think I worked huh? Sh****t, I gots bills to pay too man. LOL! Anyways, I cut down the amount and posted my favs below to show you (and myself) that with a good eye/app ANYTHING is possible!
