Overview of the Discussion:
This discussion panel will focus on the artists featured in the exhibition, who are all Brooklyn based, and art organizations that promote artistic development of the community, as we will attempt to go deeper into the theme of the exhibition and explore the artists' creative process. The purpose of the panel is to discuss how artists can use their creative talents to inspire change: socially, politically, community, and personally. What effect does art have on the community? Why should we encourage art in the public school systems and in the inner-city?

About the “Live to Change Something Through Art” Exhibit: features work that is reflective of the current Brooklyn arts movement and underscores Coup d’etat’s thought-provoking brand principle, “Live to Change Something.” Highlighting a multicultural collective of artists across several disciplines, the exhibition encompasses painting, photography, and sculpture.

Then later on that night get your party on with the "GODS of WAX" @ this monthly all vinyl spun thrown down!

"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.179)

A week back I get an e-mail from "I Love ViNYl" party's top spinner (Dj Scribe), about how he'll be playing an opening set for a Little Dragon concert that's coming up. I hit him right back about possibly posting and covering the event (especially the Little Dragon is one of my fav underground groups). I get a thumbs up from him about getting me on the guest list so I'm stoked dude! Night of, I rush from the art exhibit that Coup d'etat BK hosted at Bed-Stuy's Restoration Plaza (more on that later) to grab a bite to eat in the city at my fav Italian restaurant (Cucina Di Pesce /E.4th & 2nd Ave.) then head straight to the venue to be greeted by a long ass line! No guest list line? Good grief Charlie Brown! So I get lumped in with the common folk (no offense). All and all the show was OUTSTANDING! then the opening act was as you Cali folks say "Hella Good!" The ONLY glitch was this rude ass drunk broad "Whooo hooo-ing" all f*%kin night near us. Total downer. Good news is I brought you back some pics!

"Enter the (Little) Dragon!" -Little Dragon Preforms Live This Saturday!

Remember a WHILE back sometime last year I tried to hip you to this "indie soul-ish" band I was feeling from Sweden w/ the cute lead singer with the "Badu-ish" voice? Well now is your chance for you (& I of course) to catch them playing live in NYC this weekend. It not the first time though. They've performed at the same venue a few months back but I missed them that time around. However I DID see them at Summer Stage recently, but the sound and crowd SUCKED! Folks were more into Q-Tip & Chester French that go round. Well any case they'll be headlining this one so start standing in line NOW! FYI* DJ Scribe will be on set so it's sure to be a sell out anyway to look at it.
