"Start It Up! Vroom Vroom!" -A Video Salute To The Start Of Summer

"Been around the world and I I I!" Man being a socialite, ESPECIALLY in Brooklyn, is HARD dawg! I often forget all I've been invited too and attended in a week. Thank goodness for my trusty Canon T2I cause now I can capture all that I see and share it. Besides, a brother gettin' old man! This often helps to jar my memory just looking back at the footage. However now to keep thangs entertaining, I use an old favorite jam of mine to use as the soundtrack to the mayham. Enjoy folks, you & I are not getting an younger. So here's a quick montage of just within the last two weeks of stuff I've attended.

"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.245)

Now WHAT did I tell you?!? See as soon as the weather breaks folks come out of the wood works to party hard and shake those winter blues away. And guess WHERE they decided to make it happen at? Yep, you guessed it..."Hello Brooklyn!" our bi-weekly Saturday night party (@UltraViolet) that everyone's buzzing about. And for GOOD reason too. Why? I was on FIYAHHH two Saturdays ago. Cause not only did we have three huge b'day parties being celebrated there that night, it was also cause the music was TIGHT! Anyway, this will be your LAST chance to experience the very BEST Brooklyn has to offer. We'll be taking a break for awhile but ending our run on the highest of notes w/ the largest B.I.G. tribute in Brooklyn this year! PLUS we have four (Yes! Four) large groups coming out to bring in their collective b'days as well too. So if you miss this one...Well...Here's pics from the last one you may have missed.

"❤ Of My Life!" -Say Hello To Brooklyn...AGAIN! Sat. 12th @ UltraViolet, Special Dilla Edition

Two Saturdays deep and "Hello Brooklyn!" is looking to be "the go to hang out and vibe to some good music" spot the WHOLE borough and then some will dig. Which brings me to THIS Saturday (Feb.12th). Read this statement from Ahficionado DJ Freelikefrei:

"5 years ago I was at Joe Pub listening to my homie Waajeed playing at the release of Dilla's Donuts LP. The next day (Feb. 10th) J Dilla went back to the essence after a battle with his illness. Now during that time I watched many come to promote and spread the awareness of his musical contributions to the world. Props to the ones who really are moved by his music even to band wagons that keep pile up every year around this time to say how big of a Dilla fan they are you to play a part in this help get the word out. Shout Outs to 88-Keys who was the very first to put me on to his music driving me around in his whip playing Fantastic material years before its release to the masses. This weekend join me at Hello Brooklyn for an hour music tribute to his legacy by the Ahficionados."

We're from the County of Kings, expect NOTHING less!

"We Did It For Love!" -A Party In Ode To Everyone's Favorite Borough

I don't have to tell you how HARD it is to find a GOOD "urban" party in Brooklyn that's not...well not...thugged the f#@k out to be honest! But we're not into complaining we're in the problem solving business, and business is a BOOMIN'! Especially now that new spots such as Ultraviolet have arriving on the scene. And just in the nick of time, cause after that there stadium goes up, sports bar lounges will dominate our beloved county of King's. Anyways , enough bitchin'! Here's yet another inspirational vid that I discovered that I'm sure will get you amp'd about this Saturday's (Jan.29th) jump up jump up & get down!

"Wham BAM Thank You Jam! -Yazarah Concert Live At BAM Cafe'

Talk about irony man! Peep it, last Sat. after 'Frei (the Ahficionados) and I had a video editing session trying to get this "Hello Brooklyn!" trailer out on time for this Saturday's (Jan.29th) return to Ultraviolet. We both decided afterwards to run through and check out that BAM Cafe' free concert (featuring Yazarah St. James) I was hearing about, that Hard Hittin' Harry was DJaying for. Not but ten minutes inside, up comes a young lady to me (Anita Bryant, whom I DIDN'T recognize at the time) asking if it was possible to take pictures of the event for her. In my mind I was like "Huh? I JUST got this thing! You asking the WRONG dude!" but keep a poker face and agreed anyhow. Once she gave me the "Back up can't you see I'm working" all-access press pass, It was TOO late to turn back then. So long story short, here's the pictures I captured for them. Hope that they meet your approval, I did the best that I know.
