"Singing In The Right Key!" -On Another Note Featuring Kario Key

Man I how this universe works! Peep how while surfing the internet for inspiration my boy music producer Rich Younglord comes across this Indie/Electro Pop duo on Youtube that strikes a cord in him musically, and he decides "I GOTTA f**k with these cats!" and reaches out to directly to contact them to work with him! They holla back at him in like a day's time and the three hit it off after a few brief convos. Rewind really quick back for a sec. YL hips me to them like "Yo kid, what you think about this group? I'm in love w/ shorty's voice!" and sends me a link to hear some of their stuff. I hear "Runaway" and is instantly BLOWN AWAY! KABOOM! Now I'M all hyped like "YO! I'm FEELIN' this! Yeah man NO question! Rock with these guys!" His reply? "I've ALREADY contacted them!" And exactly WHO are they you're asking? They are Electo Pop duo Kario Key, formed by Berklee College students Lorely Rodriguez ("the Voice" pictured below) & Aaron Kleinstub ("the Sound" not pictured) broadcast their new/ sound collabo live from Boston to the world via Soundcloud and Myspace (remember that?) directly to their grassroots grown fan base. To describe their sound would be to say that it's current yet futuristic at the same time. While her voice and lyrics are timeless! I always anxious to hear what NEXT to come from them...then the NEXT one after that! Can't wait to meet these guys face to face. Well enough flapping my yap, there's some tunes I posted below that I thought best captured their next level sound. Enjoy and spread it! Oh damn almost forgot! Here's there Facebook page here & they're Myspace too here. And of course their Twitter account @Kariokeymusic

"She's/He's Not That In(ternet) You!" 21st Century Love

As Valentine' s Day approaches it's realistic to say that times have changed in the area of dating and courtship. Especially with the rise in popularity of on-line dating sites and social networks. But as things change, some things remain the same. Here's some helpful "red flags" to wake you up out of the "Matrix" of love while you're looking for a "Neo."

Sign one. You've been dating for a while, and she/he has yet to accept your friend request.

Two. All the photos in her/his gallery of you together they've cropped you out of (?)

Three, ALL 60 of her/his friends in common are dudes/chicks!

Four. You get a status notice that says she/he plans to attend the event "Freaks, Swingers, and Strippers Oh My!"

Five is, she/he mysteriously logs off AS SOON as you sign in. Hmmm?

Six would be, some girl/guy ALWAYS mentions them in a note called "My Greatest Jump-Offs EVER!-the NYC edition"

Seven
is having another page, under a different name, but with the SAME profile picture (huh?)!

I'm thinking eight would be, they have MAD albums each with a different guy/girl.

Nine, you get sent a "Let's link up" message and notices it's in a thread "replies all"

And lastly ten is a sure sign when she/he changes their status says "open relationship" while yours STILL says
"in a relationship!" YIKES!

"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.49)

Last Sunday, I attended "church". Not the holy-pass the plate-look at my flashy suit-did you hear what sister Kathy did type of church. But it was definitely a spiritual event. Let me rewind it for you, early Sunday while attending the "Great Day In BK" photo shoot (you'll hear more later on that one) I got wind of the location and time that Myspace was hosting their secret Gnarls Barkley (Battles, & Janelle Monae!) concert in NYC at Irving plaza! "Starts at 7pm? F**k it I'll be there at 5...and it's FREE too?" Done. Havana Outpost will have to pause till another Sunday son. This is some Minority Report type dream s**t ya heard! Got there DUMB early, good thing too, the line was HELLA long (damn, now Ash got me saying that Cali s**t now). Mike (Yume) was posted up there already, plus he had his J.M. (Janelle M.) hook up. I called up a few folks on my short list like, "Come thru it's free, it's BANANAS out here!" But no one was readily available. Let me tell you my friends, it was SICK! Both the show AND the heat inside. Swore I was gonna faint on some "bitchassness" type sh*t, but held it together. That was my very first Gnarls and Monae concert, so I was trying not to spoil the memory, by waking with folks looking over me balling over w/laughter. Feel me? Anyways, after seeing her live and meeting her, I went straight home to sell EVERYTHING I own, to be her personal groupie.
Here's some pics I took before I sold my camera too (lol).
