Oh damn man, my bad! I got SO caught you with the holidays and all that I damn near forgot to post these pics from the Emerson two Thursdays (Dec.26th) ago, where I hosted the Minority Report's 1st holiday office party. Not only was the turn out MUCH bigger than I had imagined it to be, the other surprise was a guest DJ set by DJ Goldfinger that turned the party into...well, a damn PARTAY! Netic (Game Rebellion), Chris Faust, Tiffany Rhodes (Butch Diva), Daoud (Coup D'Etat BK), Reese Splendid, Hard Hitting Harry, Kwesi Abbennsetts, & Debora Rivas Manso all showed up as promised to host one of the best parties I've had so far this winter! BeforeGoldie got on Frei(of the Block Association/the Ahficionados)and myself took turns warming the crowd up to warn them that the stuff that they normal hear in clubs is gonna take a backseat tonight! I was having the time of my life till I realized someone "Bernie Made-off" with my NEWLY purchased Adidas scarf just days old! Merry F@*#IN' Christmasto whom ever swiped it, I hope it gets caught in a closed subway door and pulls your ass down a looong platform! Peep that striped blue/blk scarf in the background of the first picture to the left of Goldfinger. That's the last I saw of it and "POOF!" it was Houdini'd outta there! First off let me start by saying "Happy Holidays to you", if you haven't received a (mass) text or personal (automated) phone call, or Facebook message from me wishing you that by now. Hope you had a joyous one, really...I do! But at the same time I'd like you to remember there IS a B-side (pun intended) to all this holiday joy that folks experience. Not to be a "Debby Downer" but some people DO spend the holidays alone as depressing as that my sound. For some it my be by choice, some by bad chance. To end our un-official (but it's really official!) EVERY last Friday party at Tamboril, we're pulling out all the stops to make it the BEST one yet! Why you ask? Oh just cause the energy level coming off the night before (Christmas) will be past 10! Hey did you get the mass e-mail being sent around about the latest casualty in the hurting economy? Well let me tell you first hand, it's NOT good news. Now I don't know exactly HOW (?) I got on Santa's e-mail list (glad to see I'm on SOME list of his) but I'll read to you what was the content of that said e-mail. I honestly thought it was spam at first, till it keep "magically" re-appearing back in my inbox when I repeatedly deleted it. Well here it goes folks.
Dear Mr. Dale,
I hope this e-mail reaches you in good health this holiday season, and blessings to you and yours. I am writing to inform you that sadly even jolly Ol' Saint Nick is not immune to the financial woes that are currently burdening the world right now. With the ever rising cost of feeding & housing for all my (9, please don't ask me to name 'em all) reindeer. Oil to keep Mrs. Claus and myself warm and snuggly way up North, all year round (it's not cheap kids). On top of room and board for "the Little Ones" (my trusted un-unionized labor force) Santa's elves. I only have just enough funding to supply gifts to immediate friends and family. So unfortunately this year, NO office co-workers, nannies, doormen, extra "friends with benefits", or Step-whatevers, will not be covered on your submitted gift list. I myself had to make sacrifices to make this Christmas a "miracle" on ANY street this season. Such as NO bonuses for the elves, asking them to work un-paid hrs., I'm working extra hours at the Malls, laid off two reindeer. Hand washing and drying my suit "Big Red." Yes even Mrs. Claus had to join the work force this year as security. So you KNOW things have got bad! Say, can Santa get some of that bail-out money up here? HHHol (that's Ho ho ho'ing out loud)! Well anyways thanks for your understanding and come this time next year I'll over look putting you on my "Naughty list" for doing you-know-what with you-know-who! I'm not hating. I see you.
