"Get Into The Party Life" -Gotta Get Over The Hump!

WOW! Let me find out that Wednesday is slowly becoming the NEW Saturday! I have THREE must attend events going on tomorrow that I will definitely need clones to show up for me at. The first one is VERY important to me...

A ways back an acquaintance of mine (Dinna Alexanyan) hit me up to inquire if I know anyone that was interested in submitting any erotic style art be it, poetry, film, photographs, etc. I asked "You starting a porn book or something?" and the reply was that it was for a contest that showcased amateurs being creative through the erotic genre. I tossed my hat into the ring with one of my past videos shot earlier this year and long story short...I WON! So my winning video will be featured TOMORROW in the showcase as well as the other winning entrees in their perspective genres. So come out and support! Hopefully the prize was a NEW camera (Canon 60D or 7D)...I'm JUST sayin'! Here's my trophy piece, make such the bosses don't see you watching this on the gig. "HOUSTONLANTAVEGAS" Which reminds me, I NEED to buy a blank DVD to burn this to for the screening tomorrow.

"Good Looking Out Homie!" -Visual Aids To Help The Cause. Get #FlashMob Deep On 'Em!

Per suggestion by one of my Block Boy associates (Carlito), I was told that maybe it would be wise to post some dress standards for our expected attendees coming out to our (2nd) GUEST LIST ONLY dinner event "Prim & Proper" being held at Beauty & Essex later this evening. So never to turn down a GREAT idea, I decided to post this fresh in the am. Now ladies, your FINE! And I mean that in every sense of the word. We've NEVER had a problem with you guys fashion style. However the fellas DO need a bit of work done. NOT all but a very small percentage can use the advice. We've seen certain dudes (wink wink) wear stuff to our events that SHOULDN'T even be in their closet! Let alone on their body (IE jeans w/ patchwork on the pockets...huh?). But help has arrived! I "curated" (ummm stole) some images from one of my favorite new Men's fashion blogs (Moda Fukin Swag) that will provide a GREAT direction to head towards, cause the OTHER direction will have you facing the EXIT sign! And that's just #FreiSpeech! #FlashMobDinnerParty will be a PROBLEM! Dinner roll...

"You Got Served!" -How To Attend A Plate Date W/ (Block) Boys To (Journ3y) Men...PROPER!

So you've NEVER been to a dinner party huh? EVER? In life?!? Well not to put you on blast but, HOW old are you again? LOL I'm joking (eh, half joking) but please by all means, we're welcoming newbies all the same. We're here to uplift one another correct? Cool! Anyways some of you may have had questions about what's going down tonight even though you RSVP'd and didn't even bother to read the details OR just honestly (or ignorantly...I kid again) don't know WHAT a dinner party (rather THIS dinner party) what's to be expected. So here I am to fill you in and UP!

Q. Is there a cover AND food and drink charge?
A. There is NO COVER what so ever! However your bill for what you consume is on YOU player! Unless someone pulls that black card out on us blacks, then THAT'S a different story altogether! Then we "...Out here ballin'! I know you hear my sneaks!"

Q. Is it expensive? Will I have to take a loan out to eat?
A. Prices are about average for a restaurant of this caliber. Most dishes start from $12-$48 dollars. Drinks $12-$22 per glass Rosay about $110 a bottle & Veuve is $85

Q.Location again PLEASE?
A. Beauty & Essex is ON Essex St. in the Lower East Side off of Rivington St. We'll be occupying the WHOLE top floor lounge, once you pass the door after the pawn shop (YES! Pawn shop) inside.

Q. Can I wear jeans? What about sneaks?
A. HELL YEAH! You CAN wear those, but you won't be getting in here! Perhaps there's a sports bar that's open across the street. They'll GLADLY take your business. Game time! Seriously though, the point is to be as dressy as YOU feel you can be. It's the time to wear that "I never get to wear this" attire. Decadence can NEVER be hated on. Bad shoes can though.

Q.Is this a sit down dinner thing? And will I be able to shake my ass?
A. Ummm WHO eats standing up idiot? Sorry that was harsh...dummy! Seating is first come first serve due to the amount of people expected to attend. So be patient! And YES people, the "party" part of "dinner party" means that there WILL be a DJ playing tunes...four in fact! FreelikeFrei, DJ CEO may play a guest set, DJ Trauma, and even myself perhaps. So yeah.

Q. Why a dinner party? What's the reasoning behind it?
A. We were thinking "F**K IT! Why NOT?" We gather together for all types of frivolous occasions, why not do it to toast black/brown excellence while we're still at the age to enjoy the s**t! Ain't no other feeling of DOPENESS! like looking around a room filled with affluent, well dressed, intelligent black/brown folks! No birthdays have to be involved, just toasting to LIFE and all that you can accomplish in it. Besides our people like to EAT, just as much as we like to party...If not more! Our motto is; "The fruits of my labor are grapes, and I'm about to make wine and toast" -the Block Boys

Q. I heard somewhere that there's champagne served in the ladies room. True?
A. Damn! You thirsty for drinks like THAT? Yes that is correct, but they ALSO have mints try some of those out TOO!

Q.Would I be judged at the next social gathering, if I leave with a different guy than I came there with?
A. Well NOT by me fo sho (hoe)! If one of the guys you leave with is one of the Block Boys or Journ3y Men...well HEY (hoe)! Blame it on all that free liquor you drank from the bathroom to ya man the NEXT morning! Good NIGHT (hoe)!

"Poppin' Tags & Shopping Bags"-The Emperor's USED Clothes

I think it's pretty common knowledge by those that know me well that I tend to favor the vintage stuff when it comes to my wardrobe. But I'm not bias to update my look to the more modern stuff the reflects the current looks of today. However coming from being a retail buyer for the Brooklyn Circus at one time, and having being awoken to the true prices of items vs the marked up price, I REFUSE to buy things at full price anymore. ESPECIALLY being that they're no where close to the quality of the older vintage sh** I cop! But I digress, I WILL shop at a consignment shop still looking to beat that retail sticker to the (wallet) punch. So in search of that S**T that will get the people talking I've come around one of the better ones...at least for Men I know. And low and behold you can shop from them on-line TOO! And just in time for you guys to cop something to wear to our #FlashMobDinnerParty ("Prim & Proper") tonight (7pm-12pm) at Beauty & Essex. You can RSVP but the list MAY be closed now...but try at least. theBlockRsvp@gmail.com BTW it's NOT too too late to get me a b'day gift (wink)!

"Just Throw It In The Bag!" -Cavier Dreams & B'day Wishes

MAN, I've had it up to here (hand high over head) with folks using the lame excuse of "You seem like a person that has EVERYTHING!" to cop out of buying me a gift round birthday time! HOW would you know that if you don't ASK if I do? Hmmm? I firmly believe in the nature of humans not NEEDING anything. But WANTING some stuff...that's a different beast all together! So to take the guess work out of trying to run the streets wondering "I think he might like this." I decided to cut the guess work out and hit you with a list to make things a bit easier. Exactly WHERE you can find these things is up to you! I can't do ALL the work man! Grab a pen quick!

You can NEVER can go wrong with some "smell goods" right? I think I need a Fall scent cause my Summer one was Swea Te' Le Funk, so this bottle of Bleu by Chanel will definitely be an upgrade by all means for me! Don't be cheap either and ask around if the Muslim oil dudes carry this!

Whilst looking for an all black watch to rock for our "Virgos Night Out" affair I winded up buying a black Vector watch. But this Nixon ceramic joint was what I had my eye on! But my wallet was like "Ni**a have you even LOOKED inside me lately? You must be hiding cash behind that Metrocard or something!"
Sooo based on the advice of "Mr.Wally the Wallet" I passed up on it. But if you're having a great fiscal year then keep me in mind. It's Don Cheadle TIME!

Ever since I dismantled my ancient stereo system, I don't play music around the house anymore. Having to earphones in a women's ear during whoopi is NOT the move! Unless she's into that. So the grown man thing to do is buy one of these iPod/iPhone docking stations that I can crank my "Slow Grind" playlist on at high levels so that the neighbors will hear more Al Green than me...I meant her. Bowers & Wilkins makes this one but, there are some other less costly one that do just as good a job.

And speaking of iPhones, BOY do I need a case for my boy! I drop my phone like it's hot, so I need a buffer to deflect me from cracking my screen like a lil' league ball player w/ a neighbors car window! Marc Jacobs (Fellow Art & Design High School alumni) make these SWEET ones!

This one is a bit weird to add to the list be those that KNOW me wouldn't be shock to say the least! It's a piece of wall art the resembles a surveillance camera (OBVI-
OUSLY
) that I just f**kin dig with NO real explain
-ation other than I think it's COOL! You can cop these at the uber cool store that sells house swag stuff The Future Perfect! This will set you back $160 which ain't too too bad compared to their other other prices!

No brainer if you saw this movie! I dug it from start to finish. So begin that I'm still clinging to the OLD ways of still actually collecting DVD's this would be a FINE addition!

Same for this 6 piece and a biscuit joint! It's a given for ANY Star Wars or even movie fan to have in the stash! So WHAT, call me a nerd/geek! I STILL dress better than you!

Lastly, I'm looking for cool stuff to frame to add to my freshly painted walls I've finally finished. These reprints of old Subway rolls ever nostalgic enough to blend right n with my quirky decor. AND it's WAY cheaper then the originals go for these days!

So that's all for now. You can shop on-line while your busy reading this!

"Pimpin' Ain't Easy!" -Pimpin' Words Of Advise From "Sofabed Fred"

Often times in the morning on the train going to work, I run into this ol' G chillin' in the same car as I am. And if I'm lucky, I'll catch a seat across from him and be treated to free "relation-
ship advice"
on how to "handle my womens friends" as "Sofabed Fred" would say. Now I've be DYING to do an advice column on this blog for years! But never quite kicked it off because of timing, fear of negative feedback, procrastination, etc. So when I approached "Sofabed" to ask if he would be interested he asked "What's this Interspace s**t? You mean like on the computers and thangs?" Ummm yeah, and it's called the InterNET not interspace! LOL. Gave him some small cash for this pocket to make it worth his while and proceeded to get his prospective on some pressing issues my "those whom shall remain nameless" friends may have. So I started off with a current one that seem right up his pimpin' alley.

Dear "Sofabed Fred",
I have this good friend of mine that's opposed to dating outside his race, especially WHITE women! Yet this brother is currently dating a young lady that sports this over-sized blonde weave, wears blue contacts, and I swear she's had a breast job done man! How do I explain to him that dating these "Black Barbies" is just a sign that he's in denial of hooking up with a "Becky" eventually!
Signed, "Mr GoodBar <3's the Milky Way"

"Sofabed Fred" says "This brother sounds like a young blood huh? Am I right? I would tell 'em like I tell all my 8 sons...It's ALL PINK baby! Stop tripping off skin junior, we all dark with the lights off ain't we! Matter of fact by the description of the lady he is shackin' up wit, she sounds like one of my old hoes that ran off in the late 80's early 90's! If I recollect correctly I THINK her tricking name was Denial...or Delilah...or something that starts with a Dee man! Anyway, tell him send her back this way, let's make this money together! NEXT question!"

Dear "Sofabed Fred,"
I'm currently checking this shorty that, I'm REALLY into. She has just about everything going for her that a good woman should have. HOWEVER, what's been a constant thorn on my side is her over bearing moms, who's presently living with her that puts her two cents in all our affairs. Even our sex life! I'm straight ready to bounce but wifey sweares it's just for now till she knows me better. How should I go forward or call it a wrap and keep it moving?

Signed, "Ya Moms In My Bizness"

"Sofabed Fred" says "Man, I truly truly truly feel for this brother. I went through this SAME BS with my 3rd wife's mother man! Sounds to me like this old broad is missing that THANG THANG if you dig what I'm sayin.' Give me five on that! Two things is gonna go down if you see things my way. One is pull Momma Bear aside and say "Look, I can tell you ain't have none of this vitamin D in a while, you just need to chill the f**k out and let us do what we do. OR you can get with the program! Don't think I don't know that a threesome has cross your mind, cause it damn sure crossed mine! Holla at me when you ready. Make eye contact with that crusty broad like you MEAN that s**t, and watch how that b***h react. If she trips on that, then s**t send her old ass my way man! LOL, Sofabed likes that vintage stuff!"

Need advice that ONLY a true pimp can handle? (LOL) Then by all means send your questions to theMreport@gmail.com subject: "What would a pimp do?" Hopefully I'll run into him or reach him on his phone and answer back via post on this blog in a timely manner.
