"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.247)

"The great Frank White is here to excite!" And excite they did! Last Wednesday the short-lived long loved cultural cafe' Frank White held a reunion slash honor awards gathering (held at Littlefield) that was one not to be missed. Friends, family, and fans all came together to toast the accomplishments of one another achieved in the space in such a short time. the night was truly...EPIC! It was great to see all those familiar faces together in one spot and on top of that walk home with the "crown" (award). But on Wed. the celebrating didn't end. The SAME gang got together AGAIN in a more intimate setting for the relaunching of "the Class Reunion" dinner party event now held at Luke's Place (formerly En) for the fashionable social set in Bklyn and beyond. Here's the picture EVERY ONE'S been asking so patiently (yeah right) about. Enjoy, and hope to see you at Luke's later on tonight or even the Ft. Greene Fest kick-off party.

"B.I.G. Thangs Poppin'! " -Frank White Reunites W/ Party, Show & Dinner

In the short two year time span that Frank White was open, it made a HUGE impact on the social scene in Brooklyn culturally! And it's effects are STILL felt up to this day. In my personal dealings with the venue I alone had Game Rebellion, DJ Spinna, (recent Smirnoff "In the Mix" winner) DJ Scratch, DJ Goldfinger, DJ Soul, Fly Lady Di, the Ahficionados, Coup D'etat BK, Kiser, Butch Diva, Theophilus London, Jesse Boykins III, Raye 6, Honey LaRochelle, Chris Faust, Rich Younglord and SO MANY others I many be forgetting. But you get my point about the amount of sheer RAW talent that's walked through their doors...awe inspiring. Well as they plan this Wednesday to honor all those that helped in their movement, I feel that they TOO should be honored! Hey. it's ONLY right...right? So after Wednesday's big shindig at Littlefield's we'll be toasting them w/the return of "Class Reunion!" That fashion & music networking dinner party first started (ironically) at Frank White two yrs. back. Well without further ado, here's the info for these two events hope you enjoy BOTH!

"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.129)

I obviously seems like the recession is actually WORKING for some folks out there! Cause "Recessionista" just had it's THIRD one(!) last Sunday. And to me this was the best one yet. Better choices, more selections, bigger turn out, just as simple as that. Kudos to Not Just Vintage, Kai of 718Bodega, and especially Miss lady Chay Jones for organizing such a nice event, that you could even bring ya mama to. Just ask Kai, that's just what she did! Dope!

"Get Into The Party Life!" -Mo' Money Mo' Parties

There SO much going on folks
starting tonight all the way on through to Sunday and then some!
First off tonight "sistahs are doing it for themselves" with a J Dilla tribute at Deity that you must attend EARLY if you plan to attend at all. It'll be just that crazy! Then Target's First Saturday event will feture the first family of music in BK as Keistar Prod. presents their "What the Funk!" James Brown/ Fela tribute party to the museum crowd. "What the ..." will be heard ALOT that night but I don't think it'll end with funk. LOL!
Also Sunday "Recessionista" returns but in Brooklyn with an added fashion show attached at the good ol' resting spot Frank White, so iCal that too! The rest just click on to to find out what your missing out on. Enjoy what you can. I know I will. Hopefully I'll see you out and about and you'll wind up on the M report pics... Maybe?

"Flashing Lights" -Paparazzi Pics (Pt.110)

Fashionista? Stylist? Trend forecaster? Whatever you've decided to title yourself now, you need to step in up a notch homie! Tiara Chameleon been residing in NY (BK, of course...) all of 6 months and already she's making a name for herself. Besides being a regular on Rugby.com newest site and modeling/assisting for Butch Diva, plus featured model for "Sew Far, Soul Good!" along with NJV model for "Rock the Block BK" this Summer (whew) she's held her own fashion show (w/items straight from her closet!) at Frank White this past Sunday (co-hosted by Sharri). Can you say "focused?" In attendance to show support were, the Retro Kidz, Not Just Vintage, Butch Diva, the Stylistic Agency, 77Klash, Brooklyn Circus boys, and the Rugby staff. Okay so what's next "T-Pain in my ass?" MTV? Right!?
